Whimsy and Stars


TGIF! I'm ready to hit the beach! Or maybe at least my card is, lol. This cute Whimsy and Stars image is called Amelie to the Beach. I love her big hat and shovel and pail, she's so sweet and fun to color. We have a new release and blog hop for Whimsy and Stars, with the intro of some new DT members coming on June 18, so stay tuned!

I've used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #88, just flipped it on end. Another great sketch from them, and I don't even think this card will need extra postage.

New Release at Catch the Bug

Whimsy and Stars


Happy Saturday afternoon. I feel like I've put in a full day already with 2 soccer games and 2 lacrosse games and one load of laundry! Maybe I'll take the rest of the day off, lol!

I've colored up this cutie called Coffee Girl from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars and used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches sketch 86 to make my card. I love the CAS design of this sketch, really makes the image stand out. The DT call is still going on at Whimsy and Stars until May 31, so give it a try if you are interested, it's a really great group of ladies and Mabelle's images are so cute!

Then I saw that Karen did her sample using a mirror of the sketch, too. So I think it should still be OK to link it up.

Catch the Bug ABC Monday


Happy Monday! It's the ABC challenge over at Catch the Bug today, that stands for anything but a card. I had this cute little guy, Deacon Baseball, printed out last week, cause I couldn't pick which image to use for the 3 Strikes You're Out challenge on Saturday, and I wanted to use him for something  I thought he would make a cute tag to go on a gift for Cal's baseball coach.


Here is the tag attached to the gift bag. I put some Big League Chew and sunflower seeds in there and I'll add a gift card, probably to Modells or another sporting goods store.

Little Lunch Note


I always like to make little notes to put in my sons' lunch boxes. I swooned when I saw this stamp set and die from Jaded Blossom last month and snapped it right up! The Trendy Twine challenge this month is Kraft and Trendy Twine (of course). I used all scraps on this one and pieced the lunch box with the same paper. I added some Sakura stardust pen to the metal parts for a little shine.

Dare to be Sassy Thursday



It's Thursday again, that means time for a Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week our challenge is a Kentucky Derby challenge (all about the hat). I was lucky enough to go to the Derby three years ago, and it is a memory that will last a lifetime. It is really a show of hats down there. You should have seen the size and glitz of these hats. Some people nearly needed a separate seat on the flight for their hats, lol! You don't need to make a Derby themed card, simply make sure your creation includes a hat of some sort.

Flat Friends Monthly Challenge


Can't believe it's April first already! That means it's time for a new challenge over at the Flat Friends Challenge Blog, our eighth monthly challenge is up! The challenges will run monthly and the prize is four Flat Friends digi images to one random winner. You can find all the details on the challenge blog.
