Some Sassy Studio Cards

Happy New Years Eve!  Hope you will all be safe as you celebrate!

I haven't had much time to post lately, so I'm doubling these two Sassy Studio cards up today.

The first uses Cocoa Carol.  The sketch is form Card Patterns sketch #96.

This second one used The Nutcracker.  This is for the challenge going on now at Sassy Studio Designs.  This week the challenge is to make a thank you card.  We all need these after the holidays, right.  So play along if you can for the chance to win 2 SSD images.

D2D Oldies but Goodies Holiday cards

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, we are in the process of digging out from a major storm right now.  30 plus inches and lots of drifts.  Glad to be warm and dry though!

These two cards are from my contribution to the Card Ideas blog, we had some holiday cards posted on the 24th and 25th of December using some of the older D2D images.  It was fun to go back to some of the older images and revisit them.

My first card uses the Beary Good image.  Love the little bear sneaking the cookies, so funny.  I used MMSC83 for this one.  The papers are PTI and Basic Gray.

This one uses Snow Dog, another funny imgage!  I used SU cardstock and Bo Bunny patterns here.  Yet another one of Midnight Madness's sketches (MMSC82).  Love those fantastic sketches they provide each week!  I usually go the simpler route with them, so cool to have the simple or fancy option.

If you would like to see some more cards with oldies, but goodies from D2D, check out this post on the Card Ideas Blog.

Be warm, be safe, be well!

Snowfolks

Can't believe Christmas eve is tomorrow, yikes, I need to get things done.  Haven't started wrapping yet and still need to go grocery shopping.

But before I get to that, I wanted to post a few more snowy cards using two more of the Snowfolks images from Designed2Delight.

This first one is made with Heartfelt Wishes.  I used the Midnight Madness sketch #84 for this layout.  I love the liquid pearl snowflakes falling all around her.

This next one uses Winter's Cheer.  This cute image comes with many great sentiments, too.  This one is the Friday Sketchers sketch #133.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you have a "Very Merry"!

Snowman Love

This is the freebie of the week from D2D, if you didn't play along last week, you can pick up Snowman Love in the D2D store. He is part of the Snowfolks collection, they are my favorite group of images in Faith's store.  All of them are so different and cute.

I used the clean and simple sketch from Card Patterns #95 this week.  Perfect to make up a quick card during this busy time of year!

Hope everyone is well and all prepared for the holidays. We've been dealing with various colds and croup here, so things are not really getting done.  Oh well, it will all get done eventually (or it won't, lol).

Stay warm!

Green Poinsettias

I know this is a bright one, lol!  I saw my blogging friend Annie color these D2D poinsettias green a few weeks back (check out her card here).  Thought it was a brilliant idea, so I gave it a go.  A fun change from the typical red.

The layout is pretty simple, just played around with them to get them to fit.

Thanks for dropping by today.  We've got to get our tree.  The house was torn apart all week to have some windows installed, so we thought it would be better to get the tree when the job was finished.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday Faith!

Today is Faith's birthday.  Faith is the owner and artist of Designed2Delight. The DT put together a great showing of birthday cards for her today on the Card Ideas Blog. She is a wonderful person, and a great artist!  I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with her on her DT!  So here's to you Faith, enjoy your special day!

I used the sketch from The Corrosive Challenge Blog (challenge #94) for the layout. This cupcake image is from D2D and called Cherry on Top. I had to do mine chocolate, that is the only cupcake choice in my opinion, LOL!

Happy Birthday Faith and many more.  If you would like to wish Faith a Happy Birthday, too, leave her a message on the Delightful Inspiration blog.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you are having a great week.

Celebrating Chanukah

This image, Daisy's Dreidel, was released on the first of the month from Sassy Studio Designs.  I was so excited to see it.  You don't see that many cute images out there for Chanukah!  I think I only have one or two stamps.  One of my best girlfriends is Jewish, so this is on the way to her!

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (MTSC103) for the card layout.

I also made a little tag.  It was for the 10 days of Christmas showcase at Sassy Studio Designs.  I used the same image and included 10 pieces of bling (the rhinestones).  Not very hard to work in 10 rhinestones when you love sparkle like I do!  I'll use the tag on a gift for my friend.  Think she'll like that the card and gift tag match.

Sassy Studio Designs is having a design team call right now.  So check it out on the blog if you are interested.  I have to say they are all a really lovely and talented group of ladies to work with!

Thanks for dropping by today.  Liam had a holiday concert today.  Sadly I missed it (Chuck went), we don't use sitters and the school really frowns upon having little one in the audience who might disturb the show.  Oh well, I have my photos and have heard him practicing all the songs at home.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Paper:  PTI ssw, Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow, SU Going Grey
Embellishments:  copics, nesties, cuttlebug embossing folder, K and Co and MS rhinestones, SU ribbon, SU corner rounder punch, EK success label punch, PTI border die

Kiss Me You Fool

I loved the look of the Splitcoast sketch (SC310) yesterday, so I gave it go with this cute Rubber Romance image late last night.  She is called Kiss Me You Fool.  The different layers were really fun to do.

I better keep this short and sweet, Finn is refusing his nap today.  Seems to be a new pattern, I'm so out of luck if he give it up permanently.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you are having a great week!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Kiss Me You Fool from Rubber Romance, senti from Elzybells
Ink:  Memento Tux. Black and Coffee Bean

Card and Ornament set

Here is a little card and ornament set I  created with the new Bethlehem set from Designed2Delight.  It came together quickly and easily and would make a nice little gift.

Here is a close up of the card.  I used copics to color the image and accented the star with stickles.  The die cut was sponged while still in the die to get the look of the sky and sand.  The layout is from a sketch on Paper Craft Planet.

Here is the ornament.  I took the photo outside on my pine tree.  The sky is a darker blue in real life and looks like a night time sky.

As you can see, I'm still plugging along on Christmas gifts and cards.  Probably will be right up until the 24th.  I thought I was ahead of the game, making cards all year long.  I had a big box, but decided to mail them to the soldier we sponsor in Afghanistan. I'm sure he and his fellow soldiers will enjoy them, and I love Christmas, so I don't mind making more cards.

Thanks for dropping by!  Hope you are having a great week.

Poinsettia Treat Box

Time just seems to be flying by. I can't believe Christmas is in 19 days! Of course I'm still making cards and gifts.  This little treat box is from a PTI die. So simple and easy. One sheet of card stock can cut two of them. I'm making several to go along with the gift cards I'll get for teachers and bus drivers for the holidays.

This Poinsettia image is the first freebie from Designed2Delight for the month of December.  You can pick it up from the Delightful Inspiration blog until Thursday to play along with us.  After that it will be available for sale in the Designed2Delight shop.

Thanks for dropping today.  It's my oldest's birthday today.  Can't believe it's been seven years!  We had a great day, he loved his gifts and cake.

Stamps:  Poinsettia from Designed2Delight
Ink:  Printer

Phindy's Challenge Cards

The challenge at Phindy's Place Challenge Blog last Friday (challenge #32) was metal.  I made two different cards for the challenge.  I had all the dsp still out, so I decided to keep going with the same colors.  And no, I'm still not done with Christmas cards yet, or shopping.  I don't get too ahead of the game, I thrive on that last minute rush!

This first card uses Bear Hug.  This little girl just has the sweetest little face, hugging that teddy, so cute. The metal here is pretty obvious, the fancy brad in the center of the bow.

On to my second card, this image is Gingerbread Delight.  I've glossed up the cookie so it super shiny in real life.  Now are you thinking, where is the metal?  The red dots are metal dots, they are pretty cool looking.  They were gifted to me in a secret sister swap, and I broke open the package just for this card.  This second card is also my take on the Friday Sketchers challenge #130.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.  We've had some bad storms, so I'm glad to stay inside!

Card Recies:
Ink:  Printer
Paper:  PTI card stock, DCWV prints
Embellishments:  copics, stickles, crystal effects, border punch, metal dots, PTI ribbon, Hug Snug seam binging, nesties, dimensionals, MM brad, PTI button and twine
