When I saw the new Designed2Delight set Dancing Mice, I knew immediately I wanted to make a card using just a sentiment. The mice are adorable, and I'll be creating with them soon for sure, but first I wanted to use this wonderful sentiment.

I used Card Patterns sketch #108 for the layout. I'm also entering it in the Dutch Dare Card Challenge #106~distressing.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

I used the sketch from Eat, Sleep, Stamp, Sketchy Thursday #123 for this layout. Tracy has the greatest sketches posted every Thursday! I'm also entering Cards for Men challenge #7, embossing (both Kraft panels are dry embossed). And My Partner in Crafting Crime, challenge #23, use at least three buttons.

Tilda with Bunny

I just got a few new Magnolias and inked this one up right away. I used the Friday Sketchers sketch #147 from last week for the layout.

The colors aren't traditional Easter colors, but I wanted to use some of my my new DCWV papers, these are from the Cotton Stack. I saw lots of the new stacks at Michaels, and it was hard not to get one of each, lol. But, I resisted and just got one (for now)!

Thanks so much for dropping by. I appreciate all the kind comments and words you leave, it really is a bright spot to my day.

Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

Scroll down one post for the Magnolia Christmas all year long blog hop.

TGIF! Friday means it's time for a Phindy's Friday Challenge. This week the challenge is all about animals. Check out the selection of animal images in Phindy's Place store. The image I picked is called Off We Go. It immediately reminded me of my three boys with their daddy. So now I've got Father's Day covered, just have to remember where I put it, lol!

Hope you will join the challenge this week. You don't need to use a Phindy's image to play along, but you will be entered twice if you use one, so that is pretty good incentive, plus they are super cute! And check out all the design team samples for this week, there are some wonderful creations!

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you  have a wonderful weekend!

Whimsy and Stars Step Card

Happy Sunday! The flu bug seems to be leaving our house, so that is a good thing!

I had these two cute little images printed out and just sitting on my desk (they are Molly's Cupcake and Alex Birthday from Whimsy and Stars). I was looking at them yesterday and thinking they would be cute together. I decided to make a side step card (with a step on each side), after looking at lots of side step card directions, I just kind of winged it. I used some of my hoarded SU Jersey Shore DSP for this. So funny cause the name "Jersey Shore" has a new meaning now thanks to Snookie and the Situation, lol!

Here is a side view of the card. On this pic, you can see the crystal effects on the balloons, shoes and cupcake as well as some glitter on her ponytail holders and flower. This really wasn't hard to make, once I figured it out. Even my 7 year old was impressed, saying, "Wow, Mom, it's 3-D!" Think I'll definitely make these for kids' birthday parties we are invited to.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

It's not necessary to use a Phindy's image, but you get two entries if you do (and if you check out the store, I'm sure you'll taken by these sweet images).

Thanks for dropping by today. Unfortunately the only hot thing around here are foreheads, I think the fourth one has given in to the flu as well. Guess it was not preventable, since they are all in the house together. Hope we are on the mend soon!

Grumpy

This image from A Day For Daisies, just makes me laugh, it's called Grumpy. She looks so mad with her arms folded. When Liam was smaller he would always strike this pose and say "I not!". So funny, I actually kind of miss his attitude now that he is older. I'm mailing this off to someone I know who is having a rough week, hope it will make her smile!

I was inspired by a few challenges for this one:

A Day For Daisies challenge #13 girly girl

I used the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch (C4C77)

The ColorQ challenge #75 (but I had to substitute PTI Hawaiian Shores for the SU Cool Caribbean, it was the closest I had)

Haven't worked in nursing in over 5 years now, but it is great to have a career that I can go back to when the kiddos are bigger.

Sassy Sponsorship

I've got a second post here today. Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring The Outlawz a new challenge group, and this week the challenge is to use your favorite colors. I went with red, white and black, since it is one of my favorite go to combos. It was hard to choose, I love pink and orange, red and orange, pink and black. Pretty much if it has red, pink or orange it's for me, lol.

Keep your eyes posted on the SSD blog all month long. Sara has lined up lots of sponsorships this month, so you will have many chances to win sassy images.

I used the Midnight Madness sketch (MMSC93) a great sketch as always from them!  I'm also entering it in the Shabby Tea Room Week #51, Classic Elegance color challenge (red, white and black). And the Play Date Cafe (PDCC71) splash of color. Guess it is pretty obvious that red is my "splash"!
