Whimsy and Stars

The end of the school year is quickly approaching and I need some school thank you's to send. This little Whimsy and Stars image has been one of my favorites for a long time, it's called Back to School. It's probably a favorite for me, because it looks a lot my DS #2 Liam.

Mabelle is having a special sale right now, too. If you order any rubber stamps, you can get a digi image for free. It's a great deal. And I can tell you the rubber stamps are awesome, great quality, mounted on ezmount and stamp well. So if you've been thinking about trying them out, now is a great time.

I've used a very CAS sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #37. Love the clean uncluttered look of it. I kept it embellishment free, so it wouldn't be too girly. Hard to leave off the ribbon!

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Card Recipe:

Ink: printer, Palette Noir
Paper: PTI ssw, Pure Poppy, SU Summer Sun, October Afternoon prints

Happy Monday! It's rainy here, not really beach weather, but little Amelie from Whimsy and Stars is ready for the beach.

She was released along with our May blog hop, she's so cute, you can find her here, she's called Amelie to the Beach.

My sketch comes from Jen del Muro, it is the SFYTT for May. A really great one, that I'm sure I'll use again!

I've colored with copics, added some stickles and paired her with some cheerful Echo Park papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great day!

Designed2Delight Monthly Release blog hop

Welcome to the Designed2Delight monthly release blog hop. Faith has created a bunch of wonderful new images, these will really make making masculine cards a breeze!  We are hopping to show all the new images today. If you arrived from the very talented Michelle P.'s  blog  you are in the right place.  If you just happened upon my blog you will want to start at the Designed2Delight blog, so you don't miss anything. You can find all the new releases in the store right here.

For my first card I went with the Lighthouse image. I used copics to color it in and some fantastic October Afternoon papers that had a great beachy feel. My sentiment is from Verve. The sketch is from Splitcoast Stampers (SC385).

For my second card I used the Wild Blueberry Blossoms image. This one is so pretty. Just found out that they should have been whitish in color, oops! They call that creative license, right? I've colored again with copics and added some stickles to the edges of the flowers. The patterns are all from my scrap bin. A few glittery brads and some seam binding to finish it off.

My sketch here is from the May 17th sketch over at the Willow Sketchie challenge blog.

Now for some fun stuff! All new release images will be 20% for 3 days! Don't you love a sale?! And Faith has generously allowed us to give away an image to, so leave a comment with your fave new release image and you will have a random chance to win it. I'll announce the winner
Wednesday morning.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm the last stop on the hop. Make sure to comment as you go for chances to win prizes. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
