MFT Sketch For You to Try

This month MFT is the sponsor of Jen del Muro's sketch for July (SFYTT). My new Pure Innocence stamps just arrived so I inked this one right up.

I LOVE cotton candy, it's my favorite ballpark treat, so I had to have this stamp. I covered the cotton candy in stickles for that sugary look.

I'm also entering it in the Flutterby Wednesday challenge #164, stripes, since she has some cute little stripped leggings.

Here is the SFYTT for July

Another week is flying by!

Here is my take on one of my fave weekly sketches, Tracy's Sketchy Thursday #140, at Eat Sleep Stamp. Another great sketch this week. I changed it a bit and made a A2 size card instead of a square.

My image is the super cute Dino-Mite Birthday dragon from Designed2Delight, the sentiment is also in the set! Great set for kiddo birthday cards, the dino looks cute in pink, too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week! The heat wave has broken a bit here, so we are enjoying the nicer temps this week.

Now the purple threw me for a loop, it is my least used color, but I'm glad it was one of the colors, it pushed me to use it.

The image is a freebie for those intending to play in the challenge, so stop over at CDAC and give it a go.

For example, I've used two pearls, two prima flowers, two buttons, two ribbons and two dsp. ADFD Triple Challenge

The challenge on the A Day for Daisies blog was a pretty cool one, a triple challenge! You had to do three projects. I used the same image, Free Time, on all three, this sweet little boy reading.

First up I have a card using the Sweetest Thing Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 126 from last Sunday.

Next, to go along with my card, a corner bookmark. I figured these two would make a nice little birthday gift with a Border's gift card tucked inside.

My third project is my favorite. I made a little wall hanging with three images. I used Free Time, I Can Read and Coloring in my Book. I have three little boys, so there is one square for each of them. I better get cracking on something for Lilah, too, lol! I used recycled coasters to make this one.

My images are all colored with copics, patterned papers are from October Afternoon, solid cardstock, buttons and ribbon are PTI.

Thanks for dropping by today!

ADFD challenge from CDAC

A Day for Daisies is celebrating 300 members over at Crafter's Digital Art Center. Tammy generously offered up three freebies for this challenge. I chose these two to try. They both are adorable and will become go tos for kids' birthday cards which I'm always in need of!

The first one is a boyish birthday card. I used this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch 227 for the layout. Image is colored with copics and glittered with some stickles. I broke into my BG Life of the Party for this card! I'm sure this one will be used right away. With three boys I always need boy cards.

Now for something girly! This one is also colored with copics. Stickled up for sparkle and some glassy effects added to the balloons. I used the sketch from Stamp With Fun challenge 120 for the layout and turned it sideways. Patterned paper from MME.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Faith released some really great new digis last week. This one is called Beach Love, and the best thing about it is it only costs $1.00, you can't beat that. There are a few that have sand pails in them, so fun for this time of year. You can find them all in the Designed2Delight store.

Whimsy and Stars Mimi Bug Sunflower

I know it's a bright one, but I try to do some cheerful and fun cards to mail out to the Chemo Angels special requests. Especially for the kids.

This little Mimi Bug Sunflower, from Whimsy and Stars is from Mabelle RO's spring release, not the more recent summer one. I think she is a hoot in those huge glasses and sun hat!

I used the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge #125 for the layout here, just flipped it on end.

D2D Designers challenge

The designers challenge this week at D2D is European inspired. Well, I've never been to Europe, so I just kind of was winging it. I was going for a French Provincial kind of look. Don't know if I achieved it, but this image Baby Buggy~Heaven Sent sure was fun to work with.

I pieced the buggy with some digi paper. I used some stitching, distressing and inking to get an old timey look. I'm not great with inking edges, it always looks messy to me when I do it. I've colored the pin and pearls to go with my color scheme.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope your weekend is going well.

Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI ssw, Aqua Mist, Little Boy Blue digital patterns
