Pansies for Mother's Day

Suddenly I realized that Mother's Day is almost here. I need a cards to send to my Nanas, so I inked up the new Verve set One Person. I was trying to make it look like the graduated colors of pansies, don't know how successful I was, but still I think it's pretty.

I also used a Verve sketch from the Viva La Verve April challenges. You can see them all here. This month we are looking at living rooms for inspiration. They posted some really fabulous photos.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Verve Beach Party Release Color Challenge

Tonight on the Verve Forum of SCS is a release party. Don't think I'll make it until the end, my bed is calling my name. Hubby worked late all week and I'm beat, LOL! Anyway, I wanted to share one of my cards that I made for the release week challenges. This one was a color challenge, aren't these fresh and fun summery colors? Love those bright colors. I used the sketch challenge on SCS this week for this layout.

On a funny note, I sure hope the saying that blonds have more fun is true. I had some highlights done this week and they are pretty blond. Usually they are more light brown, but came out pretty light this time. Not too sure about them, but it's only hair, ya know! Not going to fret about hair, but its been shocking every time I pass a mirror today. Who knows maybe I'll have so much fun with these blond highlights that I'll go all blond next time!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

This is one of my newest stamps from Rubber Romance. It is called Girls Night Out. These three divas look like they are having a wonderful time, don't they. I think I could use a girls night out! Sentiment is also from Rubber Romance, both are available at the Rubber Romance Etsy site.

Why does the weekend go so fast? Can't believe it is Sunday already. Oh well, I enjoyed it while it lasted! We had burgers from Five Guys for dinner, they are such good hamburgers. Enjoyed lots of family time, too/

I made the for the Saturday sketch at Club Anya. I love square cards and this was a fun sketch. Also it was the first time I inked up Camille, she is just so cute! Trying to make sure I've used all my TGF stamps before I order more, I have a few more left to ink up that I got recently, so you'll be seeing more of them.

For Hugh With Love

I know the title is way too punny, but I couldn't resist, since this little guy is Hugh from The Greeting Farm. I made this one for yesterday's Farm Fresh Friday challenge. I thought it was a fun sketch. This is another of the cards I made to the The Greeting Farm Cares card drive for the Ronald McDonald house, such a great cause.

I think I'm ready to kick back and put my feet up, grab a glass of wine and read for a while. I've been tackling laundry all day, trying to switch out winter and summer clothes for all the kids, and I'm worn out, LOL! Time to relax.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #69 for this layout. It is another card that I'm sending in for the 1st TGF Cares card drive.

Colors are a bit odd on this one. I went with some of my neglected PTI patterned paper and drew colors from that.

Spring Peep from D2D

Whew, in the nick of time! Didn't get the last two done last month due to computer problems then I was running late. I love these Desinged2Delight digi images though and try to play each week. It is a D2D progressive challenge, each month starts with a freebie, then if you play that week, you get the next image and so on. Never fear though, if you miss the first week, or run out of time like me, you can buy the next image in the D2D digi shop and play along.

Off to watch Couples Retreat with my hubby, hope it's as funny as it looks.

I'm looking for a good Strawberry Rhubarb pie recipe with an amazing crust. If anyone has a good one to share I'd be grateful. Just thought I would put that out there!

Bunny Needs Her Coffee!

This image from Rubber Romance is one of favorites! Her name is Bunny and she reminds me of me in the morning (minus the good hair and flat abs, LOL). I'm a real coffee girl and can't get started until I've had that first cup. The sentiment is also from Rubber Romance, they have such a cute selection of sentiments that pair up so well with their Diva line of stamps.

I'm getting settled in after my mini vacation. Had fun in Florida, now trying to catch up on laundry and cleaning, back to reality! Thanks for dropping by today. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start.

Pretty Little Dahlia

Well, it's Thursday, and by the time you read this I should be in Florida. Holy moly, did I really just leave my inlaws with four kiddos for 48 hours?! Hope things are going smoothly for them.

I'm also planning to mail this card in to the Greeting Farm's !st TGF cares charity card drive for the Ronald McDonald house. This cause is near and dear to me. I was a pediatric nurse before I "retired" to raise my little ones. I know the benefit and importance of Ronald McDonald houses. Check out the card drive at the Greeting Farm, it runs until April 30th, so you've got time if you would like to participate.

Also entering this one in KLSNS24. Kelly has a recipe challenge this week. It is a 1-2-3 challenge. One image and/or sentiment (I used both), two patterned papers, and 3 embellies (ribbon, Bella dots, and primas). This was a fun one. I usually use one patterned paper at most. lots of times I just use cardstock. Fun challenge for me.

My PTI swap cards

Hello! It's a beautiful day here today. Almost warn enough for shorts! I'm posting pics of my three cards for a PTI swap, hosted by my SCS friend Monkeymama (Angela). These are postal today! I don't use my PTI stamps enough, so this was a push for me to get them inky. I'll have to make a point to use them more often.

This first one uses Quilters Sampler stamp set. And is based on this Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #29.

The second one uses PTI Asian Fusion set. It's hard to see, but the flower centers have liquid pearls on them. I love this set, the cherry blossoms are on of my favorite flowers, and it coordinates so well with the cuttlebug cherry blossom embossing folder.

This third one is based on another Tuesday Morning Sketch #30 and uses A Day at the Beach stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

I'm not posting all the specific details for each card, but if you want to know about something specific, just ask and I'll get back to you.

Match Book Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful Easter if you celebrate. We are enjoying the warm weather here, finally feels like spring. I thought I'd show you this cute little gift card holder, it is a match book style card. Where the front slides behind the bottom to keep it in place.

I used my newest Diva Denise from Rubber Romance for this card. She's just perfect for celebrations! The sentiment is from Rubber Romance too, you can find both in the Etsy store.

Here you can see the inside with a gift card in the slot. Makes a cute presentation for a gift card and is great cause it really holds the card in place. If you want the details for making this project, check out my tutorial on the Rubber Romance Blog. Stop there often, there is a new tutorial posted every Monday.

Stamps: Denise and sentiment from Rubber Romance
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tempting Turquoise
Paper: PTI ssw, Tempting Turquoise, Yoyo Yellow, DCWV striped

Birthday Button Flowers

April is a busy birthday month. Trying to get organized and address envelopes at the beginning of the month. We'll see how long that lasts. This one used an inspiration sketch from Verve. They post one each Friday, with some photos for inspiration. I used a picture of an apron with poppies on it for the inspiration here.

So glad tomorrow is Friday, and my hubby is off. Woo Hoo, I'm planning to sleep in. I guess I should let him know. He actually is good about that, and I did get up at 4 am to feed Lilah this morning.

Hope to get back tomorrow to post. Thanks for dropping by today.
