Flutterby Wednesdays

Happy Wednesday! Time for the weekly challenge over at the Flutterby Wednesday challenge blog! Our challenge this week is to make a card or project using your favorite color (along with a using a fairy or a butterfly on your card). I love both pink and orange, they are my favorites, so I used both.

We have a wonderful sponsor this week, Paper Makeup Stamps. The prize up for grabs is a $15 gift certificate to their store. And they very graciously offered the DT a choice of an image. I chose this fun little image called Jill.
Make sure you check out the inspiration from my DT teamies on the Flutterby Wednesday blog. And play along with us if you can.

My sketch comes from CPS sketch #282. Such a fun and versatile sketch.

Final two CPS sketches!

Here are my two final cards for the CPS 5th anniversary sketch challenges! What a fun set of 15 sketches. Wasn't sure if I would get them done, but somehow did

This one is for day #10, this was the trickiest sketch for me, but I like how it turned out in the end. I've used Lil Pinkette August from Tickled Pink Stamps with some MME patterns. I just bought her today, she was so much fun to color! Love the hair and fun outfit. Colored with copics, stickles to highlight some areas and finished with some Twinery Twine and WOC flowers.

Here is the sketch:

And for my final card, I've done the day #13 sketch. I've used Thankful Accents from Verve with MME paper and finished with some stitching and gold brads.

Here is the sketch:

Thanks to the DT over at CPS for a great two weeks of fun sketches and inspirational samples!

Two more CPS 5th anniversary cards

Still trying to work my way through the last few CPS 5th anniversary sketches. I've got two cards to share tonight.

First up is one for Day #15. I've used this cute Whimsy and Stars image called Spring Boy and Girl, with some papers from MME.

The second one uses the sketch from Day #7. The image is from A Day For Daisies. I've used some of the same MME papers. I really put this sketch off, I found it tough. Not sure I like the way my card turned out.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! Time for another Phindy's Friday Challenge! Nope, it's not a Christmas challenge, even though you might think so with the direction my card took, lol. I try to make my Christmas cards all year long, so I don't come up short in December. The challenge this week at Phindy's Place is bling. That's a fun one, since I love bling.

I went with Sweet Carol for my image this week, I've had her printed and waiting to be colored since November, and thought the pretty halo, fur trimmed dress and wings were perfect for adding some bling. Phindy has lots of images in the shop that would work out perfectly with this challenge.

Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!

Whimsy and Stars

This just might be my favorite Whimsy and Stars image, called Super Boy. I have a problem keeping kitchen towels in my drawer, someone is always running through the house with a "cape" on, lol! This image also reminds me of Captain Underpants, one of our favorite series of books. It also doesn't hurt that he looks a bit like Liam, my DS#2. Such a fun image to color!

I made this one for a little guy who is having surgery and could use a smile.

I've used another sketch from the CPS 5th anniversary sketch challenges. This one is #9.

Here is the day #9 sketch:
I also made it with the iCopic Challenge #69"BG Family" in mind.  (I've used BG78, 75, 72, 70 on his cape) I sometimes find these ones hard to blend, but I'm pretty happy with the way it looks.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Sassy Sponsorship

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge over at the Love to Create Challenge blog today. The challenge is buttons and bows (I had to play along, I rarely make a card that doesn't use one or both). Hope you will play along for the chance to win some SSD images.

For my card I used the Romeo and Juliet image. My sketch is from the CPS 5th anniversary celebration. This is number 8. I switched out the heart for a circle, couldn't fit my sentiment onto the heart die cut I had.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are staying warm, it's very cold here today!

Sassy Studio "Fan"tastic Valentine Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs Valentine blog hop. We are calling it out "Fan"tastic blog hop, because this release is all inspired by customer suggestions. The images are even named after the person who made the suggestion! If you arrived here from the talented Christine you are in the right spot. If not start on the SSD blog, so you don't miss anything. Make sure  you leave comments as you hop for chances to win some new images!

My card is made with the Country Girl Donna image. She is so pretty. I don't really think she is going to labor on the farm today with her huge diamond earrings and glam make up, but she sure does look good in her farmer get up!

I've used the sketch #11 from the CPS 5th anniversary sketch challenges going on right now. Another great sketch!

I'm also entering Raise the Bar challenge #91 (chocolate and roses). Such a fun color combo, love red and brown together.

Now, for my celebrity Valentine, I'm going to have to go with Taco from "The League" (Jonathan Lajoie). Anyone else love that show? It is so funny! He is a cutie, but I went for him because of his humor, I love to laugh and have fun!

Now hop on over and see Kim's gorgeous creation! I've had a peek already and it is awesome!

A Sassy Sneak Peek

Another sneak from the upcoming SSD "Fan"-tastic release. This is the cowgirl image.

Now, I'm pretty much a city slicker, lol. So, I wouldn't have had a thing to use to make a country themed card in my stash. But then I remembered some goodies my dear blog friend Linda Palmer had sent me. I was hoarding the paper and boot charm to make a card for my country music loving aunt. It went perfectly with this image, I was so excited to find it! Thanks Linda!

I've used another of the CPS 5th anniversary sketches, this one is #5. Not really keeping up too well, but I'm trying!

Whimsy and Stars Valentine

I'm winding down on the Valentine's now. Although, I could make them all year long, I love red, pink and hearts!

This cutie is Valentine Girly from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars. Such a cute image! There are lots of new images being added. Mabelle is releasing some digi versions of TAC sets, so hop on over and check them out! I've colored and stickled her up and popped her up on some dimensionals.

I've used another on the the CPS 5th Anniversary sketches for this. This one is #6. I'm having fun playing along with them. There are a few tough ones I've been putting off, but need to tackle this weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Corrosive Challenge #142

It's time for another Corrosive challenge! The theme this week is "Love Bites" and the wonderful sponsor is Tiddly Inks.

You can interpret this theme many different ways. Lots of the DT went literal, and there are some great vampire cards this week. I went a little different direction. My image from Tiddly Inks, which they so kindly let us pick is called "Always the Flowergirl". I thought that was perfect for the theme! Kind of a play on the old saying, Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

Hope you will pop over to the The Corrosive Challenge blog and check out all the wonderful samples, and then play along with us if you would like.

The sketch here is from the CPS 5th anniversary celebration. This one is number 4. They've been posting fabulous sketches every day!

CPS 5th anniversary sketch 3

Happy Saturday! Is everyone getting ready for the Superbowl tomorrow? My favorite parts are all the great commercials and the nachos hubby makes.

Here is day three of the CPS anniversary sketches. This cutie is one of Mabelle RO's Whimsy and Stars rubber stamps, called Lily's Paint Your Life. Love this little kitty and the lovely sentiment that comes with! Fun to color. I've been on a bright and springy kick lately. Makes the drab days seem a bit brighter!

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

CPS 5th anniversary sketch 2

Back with another card for the CPS anniversary challenges. This is the day 2 sketch. I've used this sweet little Birthday Girl image from Designed2Delight. I thinks she looks so festive in her hat!

Not sure why I keep making girly birthday cards when I have three boys and only one girl. I need so many more boy cards! But girly cards are much more fun for me to make.

Thank so much fo dropping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

CPS 5th anniversary sketch 1

Happy Wednesday! I'm attempting to play along with the Card Positioning Systems (CPS) 5th anniversary challenges this month. They always have fun sketches and they are having 15 days of sketches to play along with (lol, rather ambitious of me to try to do this, right). Well, one day at a time. This is the first sketch! I flipped it on it's side to better fit my image.

I've used a super sweet Mabelle RO Whimsy and Stars image, this one is a rubber stamp called Thinking of You. They come on ezmount already, quick trim and ready to go. I think this little girl is so sweet! I'm always in need of birthday cards, so I think I'll use this for a birthday, but she could easily be for a thinking of you or get well, too.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Addy 'Tude is Sparkling Today

I have had this stamp for a while now, and sadly had never inked it up. She is called Addy 'Tude LOVES to Sparkle from Stamping Bella. Isn't she fabulous? I don't know why I haven't used her! Her name made me feel the need to really sparkle and bling her up. Her outfit and accessories are sparkled with spica pens, then I sprayed the whole white piece and the sentiment liberally with Smooch Spritz, I just love that stuff. The striped paper is super sparkly, too, it is the Home collection from MME.

I think this one will be headed to one of my bffs who really always does sparkle, plus she always wears big sun glasses like these, LOL! Watch your mailbox Meliss.

The sketch for this one is from CPS #158, Stamping Bella is the sponsor this week, so I had to enter. I so love all my Bella stamps!

Thanks for stopping by today. TGIF!
