This week is just flying by!
Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Cooking it Up with Katie this week. The challenge is #31, Enjoy a Sparkly Yellow Digi. You have to use a digi image, the color yellow and some sparkle. Fun and pretty simple. Play along with the challenge for a chance to win four Sassy Studio Designs' images.
I used last weeks Friday Sketchers sketch #121 for this card. It was a fun sketch, and easy to use. Think I'll revisit this one for sure.
I love this image Fall Fun, from SSD, just so cute and fun. It is finally feeling a bit like fall weather here, and I love it. The kids had to wear pants today, they were bummed to give up the shorts, but I was glad for the crisp cool air.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great week.

Delightful Cause
These flowers are from Peace and Comfort, the weekly freebie in the progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration. If you didn't play along with us last week, you can find them in the Designed2Delight digi shop. They come with some sympathy sentiments and an image with the flowers and a cross. I couldn't bring myself to make a sympathy card when I didn't need one. I'm superstitious like that!
Instead I made a thank you card. This one is going to a special cause. You can get all the info here. Cammie is holding a Heart to Heart Card Drive in honor of her grandmother who passed away in 2008. The cards are for the caregivers working at the nursing home who lovingly cared for her grandmother who had Alzheimers. I participated last time and I have to say it is such a great feeling to do something like this. We all know how important those special people are who take care of the elderly and the sick. My own grandmother is in a nursing home right now, and I know the people who work there make all the difference to her. So go check out Cammie's blog and make and send a card if you can. She is also offering a chance at a HUGE blog candy for those who participate.
I followed the MoJo Monday sketch (MoJo158) for this card. I love the sketch for the last Monday of the month, it is always a round or square sketch. Fun to change it up a bit.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Monday. Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Crazy Challenge blog. The challenge this week is no ribbons or buttons. I have to admit, no ribbon is rough.
I made this for my chemo angel buddy, she just finished up her chemo. I think the MS border punch looks a bit like the pink ribbons for breast cancer. Hope it will bring a smile to her face. This image is called Support a Cure and $1.00 from every purchase goes to the American Cancer Society! Isn't that cool? You can buy a new image and do some good at the same time.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope your week is starting off well.

Midnight Madness Dracula
The weekend is just flying by as usual! We used a new toy yesterday (my hubby's smoker) and made a smoked pork shoulder and ribs. They came out great. So I think it is pulled pork sandwiches for dinner tonight.
I wanted to post this little guy. He is a Hanglar Stanglar image that someone sent me through Wish Rak. I think he is so cute. I shined up his shoes and garlic bulbs with some crystal effects.
I used MMSC72 for him. I went with the clean and simple layout this week. Really fun and easy layout to use, I'll definitely go back to this one.

This Tilda with at candy cane is one of my newer Magnolias. Don't know if the photo shows it well, but her candy cane is coated with crystal effects, so it looks real I used the Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge (MTSC92) for the layout. Another great sketch from Mercy.
You can find a huge selection of Magnolia stamps at Magnolia-licious. Now hop on over to Lindsy's blog and see what she has created this month. Thanks for dropping by, see you on the next hop October 25th.

Bearing Gifts
Yesterday was my little man Finn's second birthday. This was the card I made for him. This is a new release from Designed2Delight called Bearing Gifts, it was perfect for a child's birthday card, I think it is just such a sweet little image.
I used the sketch from Cute Card Thursday challenge 131 for the layout. I'm also entering The Play Date Cafe (PDCC48) color challenge (the colors navy, lime and grey). And Cooking it Up with Katie #30, Is that a Sweet Metal Ribbon I See? and Cupcake Craft challenge #109, transport.
I hope you will all join us next Saturday October 2nd at CDAC in the Designed2Delight group for our World Card Making Day party. We will be having prizes, challenges and fun activities going on all day. Two challenges are already posted, so go on over and get a jump on things.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great weekend. My hubby was away most of the week, so I think I'll give him some time with the kiddos the weekend (translated to I need a little crafty time, LOL).

Dare to Be Sassy Thursday challenge
Here it is Thursday already, that means it is Dare to Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio. This weeks challenge is paper piecing, easy-peasy right? These sassy images lend themselves well to paper piecing.
I used Cheerful Chelsea and pieced her shirt and leggings. Anyone else think it's funny that leggings are back? All the kids at the bus stop today had on leggings and skirts, like I wore in the 80's. Too bad I didn't save any of my old clothes, LOL!
I used Card Patterns sketch #82 for the layout.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great week.

I used MoJo Monday sketch #157 for this card.
Rubber Romance has a design team call posted. Check it out and apply if you would like to work with these fun rubber stamps.

Double Delight challenge blog is sponsoring a card event for Operation Write Home, to make and send cards for the military serving overseas. Anyone who participates will get this Designed2Delight digi, Star Spangled Snowman, emailed to them for playing along. He is just perfect for cards to send to the military for the holidays isn't he?
I used the CPS sketch #185 for this card. I thought the sketch lent itself well to a flag like background.

King of the Wild Things
Can't believe it is Sunday already! We had a great weekend. My dad visited to celebrate his birthday. Had lots of good food (probably too much). He's on his way home now, so I made a cute little Halloween card.
I used the Midnight Madness sketch MMSC71 for this card. I went with the CAS version for this week. Also the Paper Sundaes challenge #36 is Fabulous Fall, to use fall or Halloween colors, so this will work! If you are thinking deja vu on the papers and colors, you are right. They were still out and I'm trying to make a group of Halloween card to send to our soldier, so I used these papers again.
Thanks for stopping by today. Preparing for a busy week. We have a birthday in our house on Thursday, so that is something to look forward to!

Scaredy Cat
TGIF! So glad the weekend is almost here. My husband just got home from traveling, so he is home early today! That means a little break for me!
This Little Scaredy Cat is the weekly freebie from the progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration. If you played along last week he was in you email box this am. If you didn't play along last week, you can buy him in the Designed2Delight digi store and join the challenge this week. He just made me smile. He is such a cute little kitty, I stayed up late last night and printed him right out.
I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge for this card (MTSC91). Another great sketch from Mercy this week.
I'm trying to get together some Halloween cards to send to the soldier we've adopted in Afghanistan. I thought he and his group would like some cards to mail home. I need to get a move on it as mail is slow going over there. So, you'll probably see some more Halloween cards this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Autumn Leaves
Well, it is feeling like fall here, finally. Such nice cool weather. I was scrambling a little this morning to find warmer clothes for the kids. But think I got things sorted out now. I love to open the windows and enjoy the cool air!
I used the Inspired Crafters (ICC9) sketch for this challenge. It was such a fun and easy sketch to use. I did have to move my sentiment down a bit, it didn't fit on the larger panel after my leaves went on. This was a fun change for me to do some two step stamping. It's been a while since I did that. The gold embossed leaf veins look even better in real life. Now I'm off to make five more of these for a Papertreyink card swap I'm participating in.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are getting a bit of fall weather wherever you are, too.

School Days
First full week of school for us here. The kids are enjoying it, but I'm a bit discombobulated. Trying to get out the door by 8:15 is a challenge. We'll get into a routine quickly though.
Our floors came out great! We are in the process of putting back the closets and other small items upstairs. The workmen somehow knocked out our phone line, so we are without a phone right now. Thank goodness for cell phones!
I thought this Tilda would be perfect for this week. She is one of the older ones and is slightly different in style.
I love them all though, both new and old! I used MoJo Monday sketch 156 for the layout. The background is different papers layered, it looks kind of like one layer in the photo, but it is actually two different dsp cut and layered.
Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you are having a great week!

Sassy Studio 9/11 Blog Hop
Sassy Studio Designs is having a special release in honor of the anniversary of 9/11. Today we remember those who lost their lives on this day. We also recognize those who gave of themselves so freely during the time of tragedy, especially police officers, fire fighters and nurses. Those are the images Lindsay is releasing today in honor of these heros.
We are holding a blog hop with these new hero images. If you arrived from Larisa's blog you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning go to Sara's blog.
My card features the new Nurse Little Honey who will be available from Sassy Studio Designs today. Being a nurse myself, I really liked this image. I thought my little sentiment was cute with her. And my nurse friends will know that this is true a lot of the time! I used the MoJo Monday sketch (MoJo 155) from this week for the layout.
Thanks for stopping by today. Now hop on over to Lisa's blog.

Back to School with Edwin
Just got this cute little Edwin stamp, he is one of the older ones. I thought it would be timely to make a back to school card. He is sitting on a stack of books, that are from another Magnolia stamp.
I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch #90 (MTSC90) for this card. Another fun sketch this week, I love the little row of stitching, fun touch. I made mine a square instead of a rectangle, so I'd have enough room for Edwin.
Don't know if any of you are Captain Underpants fans? We are, we read some chapters almost every night and are waiting for the "9th epic novel" to be released. My oldest son thought this image was Melvin Sneedley from the stories, I thought that was pretty funny.
Thanks for stopping by today. TGIF! Hope you have a great weekend.

Ready for Halloween
This is one of my favorite Halloween images. Sabrina from Rubber Romance. I needed a Halloween card for an exchange package I was mailing, so I inked her up. Got her boots all glittered up, for fun!
First day of school today. Oh, the anxiety, for me of course, not them. We were all looking forward to school and being on a schedule, but I get stressed the first few days. Especially for Cal, he is going a full day for the first time. I keep looking at the clock and wanting to go to the bus stop. I'm sure he'll make out well, he loved Kindergarten last year. I picked up Liam from preschool at 11:45. When I asked him how it was, he said "Oh, you know, the ush" (his slang for the usual). So I think I'm the only one stressed today, LOL!

Oak Wreath
Happy Labor Day everyone. Enjoy the last of this long weekend.
I used the newest digi Oak Wreath from Designed2Delight. It is free this week, so grab it and join us for the Delightful Inspiration progressive challenge during September. If you play along and link your card by Thursday each week you will get the next digi emailed to you on Friday.
I also am participating in the Double Delight challenge this week (DD10), Autumn is in the Air. The sketch is the MMSC69. What a perfect sketch for a wreath!
I finally cut into some of this retired SU dsp. It is one of my favorites, that I've been hoarding. I bought two packs when it was retiring, then just admired them for a few years, LOL! Guess I should go catch up on the Hoarders Buried Alive episode I dvr'd last night. Ever watch it, scary how so many of them are crafters! I dvr it each Sunday night and watch it with my second DS, Liam, every Monday, it's sort of our thing. He gets especially excited when there are bugs and rodents involved. Good lesson on why it is important to clean up the playroom, too.
Hope you have a wonderful day. We are preparing for the first day of school tomorrow. Everyone is looking forward to it.

Today Designed2Delight is sponsoring a new sketch blog! Actually, sponsoring the challenges each week this month. One free digi will be awarded each week. The challenge blog is Sketches by Carly. The really cool thing is that Carly is 11! She started off making sketches for her mom and aunt to use. This is sketch #10. She does a really good job with these. I love to see kids crafting. Try to check her blog out and play along if you can.
The Cup Cake image I used is one of the dollar delights from Designed2Delight. Can't beat it for a buck! I love cupcakes and the pretty lace doily just adds a bit of whimsy to this one.
Hope you have a happy and safe holiday weekend!

As you can see this month's theme is Disney related. If you love princesses you are in for a treat!
Here is my first card, using Snow White Little Honey, being released today. She is my favorite Disney princess. I used Cardabilities sketch #10 for the layout of this one.
And here is Princess Aurora, she is so pretty too. I couldn't help but give these princesses lots of sparkle. I used Card Patterns sketch #79 for this card.
