Think Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. Our theme this month is “Think Pink” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous pink projects. 

I would imagine we all know someone who has had or has breast cancer. My mother in law is a breast cancer survivor. But a dear friend of mine Chelle lost her battle a few years back, so any pink cards I make are in her honor. She was sweet, funny, generous and spirited and fought a good battle.

Here is my project, using Birdbrain Balloon, isn't this image so funny? Love these little birds! I've kept this one very clean and simple. I've used the paper tole technique to layer the balloon and eyes. It really gives great dimension. It was one of the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges at SCS yesterday and a technique I had never really tried,  I've paper pieced, but here you sort of round off the layers with an embossing tool. I really like how it made the eyes look. 

For my layout I've used Freshly Made Sketches sketch #156. Love this sketch and I'm sure I'll use it again.

LIttle Miss Muffet Inspiration post

Happy Thursday. We have a little inspiration post to share on the LMM facebook page. Everyone is showcasing the stamps or digis that are available in the store.  There are lots of new images available as well as a fabulous sale going on. 

My stamp is a new one called Swings N Slides Pirate. How cute is he? Now that school is back in swing, the parties are never ending. Finn has claimed this one for a classmate already. Stop on over to the facebook page and check out all the inspiration from the DT.

My sketch comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches #269. I loved the sweet banner detail and it was a perfect excuse to use my Little Miss Muffet Party Banner die.

Sami Stamps Daddy's Super Girl

Happy Tuesday! I've had this super cute image and sentiment combo in mind for a while. The image is a digi from Sami Stamps, called Daddy's Super Girl, they are just the sweetest whimsical images. And you know how I'm a fan of any image from the back, so this was a must have for me! I've pieced her bow and cape and popped them up for some dimension.

Sami Stamps is having a Design Team Call right now, too. I guested for them last year and would love to join the team, so I'm going to give it a try. Wish me luck!

My sketch comes from Sketch N Stash #149, it is a throwback to an earlier challenge #44. Another great sketch from them. My new item is the patterned paper and my stash is the ribbon, buttons and twine.

From the Heart Stamps sketch challenge

There is a new I {HEART} sketches with a twist #81 challenge today. The twist this week it to use eyelets (you can use the sketch, the twist or both). Its a fun sketch, pretty CAS and perfect for a lot of different images, I'm sure I'll use it again. I've used one of the cute images available in the From the Heart Stamps shop called Super Birdbrain. Love this fun image, perfect for all the little cape wearing people around here.  Hope you will have some time to play along this week!

Bugaboo Anything but a Card

Happy Monday! It's ABC day at the Catch the Bug blog. I always like to make non card projects, changes it up a bit. I decided to do make a little K-cup holder today for my Keurig friends, it's cut from a Silhouette Cameo file. I've used the image Stella Peeker-Magical Substance.  It holds two K cups, perfect for a little gift.
