D2D Stitched Pumpkin

I love this little mouse peeking out from behind the pumpkin, so cute. It is from Designed2Delight and is called Stitched Pumpkin. The set comes with one without the mouse and a cool border image as well.  I thought it would make a perfect "miss you" card to go in my OWH cards that I'll mail off.

I've used Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday sketch #144 for this layout. Another stellar sketch from Tracy, she really knows how to put together a sketch that flows well.

Card Recipe:
Image: Designed2Delight Stitched Pumpkin, sentiment from PTI
Paper: PTI ssw, SU Choc. Chip, Wild Wasabi, Real Rust, retired SU patterns
Ink: Printer, Palette Umber
Extras: copics, nesties, ribbon, MM brads, cuttlebug pumpkin embossing folder

CDAC Progressive Challenge

Down to the line as usual for me! CDAC is now having a progressive challenge, very similar to the one Faith does at D2D, they give you frebie images and if you use them and post a creation you will get the next images emailed to you. Thought I'd give it a try.

This little cutie was the image I used from the first set, she is from Whoopsidaisy.

I used the Stars and Stripes sketch, but did add a sentiment to it as well.

Thanks for dropping by today, hope your week is going well.

Whimsy and Stars

Next week is back to school time for us around here. My oldest says the summer went too fast! Maybe for him, lol, mamma is ready for a schedule again!

This cutie is from Whimsy and Stars Studio, he's called Back to School. Thought he would be perfect to use for a teacher note card. I've made a few teacher cards with him this summer, always good to have on hand. I like to use a cute card, rather than scrawl a note on a scrap of paper (yea, I've done that a few times).

I used the monthly SFYTT from Jen del Muro for August. Cutting it close again this month. Her sketches are always fun to do!

Card Recipe:

Ink: Printer, Night of Navy
Paper: PTI ssw, Pure Poppy, SU Night of Navy, Summer Sun, October Afternoon prints

D2D Designer's Saturday Challenge

The weekend is here! Saturday means it's time for another of the Designer's challenges at Designed2Delight. This week our hostess is Pat. Her challenge for us is to make a Christmas card for a child. Fun challenge!

My image, Beary Big Gift isn't in the Christmas section of the D2D store, but rather with the birthday images. Just goes to show how versatile many of these images are, this one would be fabulous for a baby shower card as well. I've printed the image twice and popped up the bear only on the top layer, he really looks like he is peeking over the gift.

My sketch is the Midnight Madness sketch #118 for this week. Another great sketch from them!

Card Recipe:

Ink: Printer, SU Garden Green
Paper: PTI ssw, Berry Sorbet, SU Garden Green, DCWV patterns

Phindy's Friday Challenge

Time for another Phindy's Friday Challenge. The theme this week is hand made embellishments. I went with hand made buttons for mine. Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!

This little cutie is from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars (I don't currently see it in her ETSY shop, but she has a note there that you can contact her to buy any of the older images). So fear not, if you need to have this image, you should still be able to get it.

TGIF! So glad the weekend is fast approaching. During the month of August I was invited to be a guest designer for the Friday's copic/promarker challenge group over at The Outlawz. Thanks so much Marilyn for the invite!

Today's challenge is in the garden. I've use one of my favorite Designed2Delight images called Neighbors. Love the little bear peeking into the next yard. Reminds me of neighbors talking over the garden fence.

I'm using the sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge #68 (my Cosmo Cricket paper pack is very old, and my PTI fence die is brand new).

Hope you will pop over to The Outlawz and see what the DT has created for this challenge and play along.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. If you leave a comment on the SSD blog on the sneak peek post you will be in the running to win her. And be sure to stop there tomorrow for the release party details.

D2D Designers challenge reminder

The designer's challenge at Designed2Delight runs through Friday, so there are still a few days to play! The theme this week is pink and black. I opted to do a sentiment as the main focus this week. Ever since I saw this set, Tweet Friend, I've been planning to use this sweet sentiment alone (only took me a year or so to actually get to it, lol). The bird image with this set is fabulous, too!

I thought the sketch this week from Card Patterns (#128) would work perfectly. I'm entering it into the Creative Card Crew Handmade Flower challenge, also. And the challenge at Paper and Such this week is sentiment only. The patterned paper was a gift from my blog buddy Angela, she has impecable taste!

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Sassy Studio Birthday Card

Last post for today, I promise. Just happened that lots of things are happening today!

Each Friday on the Papercraft Planet SSD group there is a freebie. How cool is that? Regan has some fun challenges that go along with the images, too. This week's challenge is a birthday challenge with the optional challenge of using the color of your birthstone.

This pretty dress is the freebie for today, run over and snag it, it will only be there for 24 hours. My birthday is in February, so I went with amethyst for my color scheme.

My sketch is from Card Pattens #127. And I'm also entering Sentimental Sundays challenge #67-flowers.

Card Recipe:

Paper: PTI ssw, Royal Velvet, Lavender Moon, K and Co pattern

Phindy's Friday Challenge

Time for another Phindy's Friday Challenge. The theme this week is Vintage. I struggle with this type of challenge, but think the lace, stitching, seam binding and pearls add a vintage feel. Plus, this little sweetie, Something Sweet, has a vintage look also. I love her little bubble romper, so sweet! There are plenty of images in the Phindy's Place store that would work well for this challenge.

Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!

The Outlawz Guest Designer Post

TGIF!!! So glad the weekend is fast approaching. During the month of August I was invited to be a guest designer for the Friday's copic/promarker challenge group over at The Outlawz. Thanks so much Marilyn for the invite!

Today's challenge is it to color an animal. I picked this sweet little bear, Rosie Ballerina, from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars. I love her sweet little face. I used some terry cloth and colorless blending solution for the texture on her fur, gives it a bit of a nubby look.

And, my sketch comes from Midnight Madness (MMSC116). I used the simpler sketch this week and flipped it upside down to work with my image and sentiment. I'm also entering the icopic challenge #42-coloring fur.

Hope you will pop over to The Outlawz and see what the DT has created for this challenge and play along.

Cupcake Mouse

Is it really Wednesday already??? Another week is zipping by.

This little mouse, Cupcake Mouse, is the freebie this week for the progressive challenge at D2D, and since it is the first freebie of the month, you can still head on over and get your's. I think she is so funny, peering over that yummy cupcake.

The Design Team' s Weekly Challenge is still going on this week until Saturday. The theme  is bling this week, an easy one to play along with for a chance to win some D2D!

Funny thing is IRL (in real life) I'm really afraid of mice. In fact I rode the subway in NYC last weekend and was very nervous that I would see some roaming the tracks, I have in the past. I tried not to look down, lol! At my last job they had a bit of a rodent problem and I had to jump up on the desk more times than I'd like to remember! But my fears aside, this mouse is pretty cute!

I've use Tracy's fabulous sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday #142, for the layout. This one was a bit tough, but once I got going it came together. She has the best sketches posted each Thursday, so check them out!

Welcome to another Phindy's Friday challenge. We are doing things a bit differently this week (and will be the first week of each month). Our challenge is anything goes, makes it super simple to play along. BUT, you must use a Phindy's Place image this week. Not hard to do, when there is a huge selection of images in the store to suit every taste!

I've used an image called Sweet One. So cute, love the way he is reaching for his mobile. I was thinking, it could be used for a girl, too. Might have to do it in pinks next time.
