Whimsy and Stars

Happy Wednesday! Where is the week going, it's just flying by! I realized today that it was now or never for the Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday #171, so I got right to it. When I saw the sketch it looked really tough, to me, but I love Tracy's sketches and wanted to give it a go. I did flip the sketch to fit my image. And in the end, it wasn't that hard, lol. It's a great sketch to use up some scraps of patterned paper, too.

My super cute image is from the newest release from Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars, she is called Amelie, and is so sweet! Love to color and glitter up Mabelle's images.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Had some time to play with this cute Whimsy and Stars Lily's Cupcake image today. Love the sweet little kitty. I gave her fur some texture with a washcloth dipped in blender solution, love to do this on fur.

I played along with Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp sketch (Sketchy Thursday #162). Wow, it was only posted today, lol, must be a new record. Check out her sketches, they are awesome. I flipped this one sideways to fit my image.

For my second card I used the Easter Egg Tulips image (think this is my favorite image from the release!). I love tulips and these are just stunning, really fun to color.  I've colored with copics, uses SU and PTI cardstock and some October Afternoon patterned papers. I've used Tracy's fabulous sketch from Sketchy Thursday#160 at Eat Sleep Stamp.

Garden Friends

This fun image is a new release from Designed2Delight called Garden Friends. I keep needing cheerful masculine cards for the special assignments from the Chemo Angel program. I REALLY have trouble doing manly cards, I guess I'm just a very girly girl. I think this image made a cute manly card (try to overlook the glitter and bow, lol).  It was such fun to color up these cute litte animal friends!

I'm sneaking it in just under the wire to Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday #157. She posts a new sketch each week and they are always fresh and fun!

Card Recipe:
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI ssw, SU Blue Bayou, Tangerine Tango, PTI Dark Chocolate, BG Max and Whiskers

I love fall, it's just such a pretty time of year. This Harvest Basket from D2D is such a fun fall image. I wanted to get a few more fall cards squeezed in before I get going full swing on my Christmas cards.

I've used one of my fave sketch challenges for this. It is from Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp, Sketchy Thursday #154. This is her last sketch for 2011 and I couldn't miss it. She is taking some time off to spend with family, but make sure and check out her sketches in the new year, they always rock!

Just a quick post today, my dh is still recovering from his surgery and I'm just spinning my wheels trying to keep up with everything.

I managed to get Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp sketch done again this week, wahoo! I love her Sketchy Thursday sketches and try to do them when I can.

Off to try and clean up a bit, today is Liam's 6th birthday and we've got a mess of wrapping paper and frosting in the kitchen. He had a blast, so that is all that matters. Every present was "exactly what I've always wanted!" Too cute!

Hope 2011 butterfly

I haven't had the chance to play along with Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp challenge for a few weeks now, so was glad I could squeeze in a card this week. This one is sketch 151.

This image is from Faith at D2D, it's called Hope 2011 Cancer Awareness Set. I love it, butterflies are so beautiful anyway, and incorporating the pink ribbon is perfect here. You can see the dimension a bit, I printed it three times and layered the wings, then the body separately on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today. It's my baby's birthday, she turns two. I can't believe it, seems like yesterday that she was born!

Just a quickie post tonight. Last week I didn't have a chance to play along with one of my fave sketch challenges, so I wanted to make sure and play this week.

This is my take on Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday sketch #146 for this week. Love this sketch, definitely will be one I come back to. I kept it simple and fairly flat, since it it going in my OWH box to donate to the soldiers.

Just got back from taking Suzanne Dean's copic classes in Delaware this past weekend-good times for sure! Now I need to take everything I learned and practice, practice, practice!

Thanks for dropping by today, hope you are starting off your week well!

D2D Stitched Pumpkin

I love this little mouse peeking out from behind the pumpkin, so cute. It is from Designed2Delight and is called Stitched Pumpkin. The set comes with one without the mouse and a cool border image as well.  I thought it would make a perfect "miss you" card to go in my OWH cards that I'll mail off.

I've used Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday sketch #144 for this layout. Another stellar sketch from Tracy, she really knows how to put together a sketch that flows well.

Cupcake Mouse

Is it really Wednesday already??? Another week is zipping by.

This little mouse, Cupcake Mouse, is the freebie this week for the progressive challenge at D2D, and since it is the first freebie of the month, you can still head on over and get your's. I think she is so funny, peering over that yummy cupcake.

The Design Team' s Weekly Challenge is still going on this week until Saturday. The theme  is bling this week, an easy one to play along with for a chance to win some D2D!

Funny thing is IRL (in real life) I'm really afraid of mice. In fact I rode the subway in NYC last weekend and was very nervous that I would see some roaming the tracks, I have in the past. I tried not to look down, lol! At my last job they had a bit of a rodent problem and I had to jump up on the desk more times than I'd like to remember! But my fears aside, this mouse is pretty cute!

I've use Tracy's fabulous sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday #142, for the layout. This one was a bit tough, but once I got going it came together. She has the best sketches posted each Thursday, so check them out!

This adorable snowman was the freebie at D2D last week for the progressive challenge. I think he is just so cute! He was fun to color and sparkle up a bit!

He is called Christmas Snowman and is available in the D2D shop. He is in the Snowfolk category with lots of cute friends!

I've used one of my favorite go to weekly sketches from Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp. She always has a great new sketch each Thursday and is a very talented card maker, too, so check her out! This one is Sketchy Thursday #141. Great way to use up some scraps with this sketch, too.

Another week is flying by!

Here is my take on one of my fave weekly sketches, Tracy's Sketchy Thursday #140, at Eat Sleep Stamp. Another great sketch this week. I changed it a bit and made a A2 size card instead of a square.

My image is the super cute Dino-Mite Birthday dragon from Designed2Delight, the sentiment is also in the set! Great set for kiddo birthday cards, the dino looks cute in pink, too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week! The heat wave has broken a bit here, so we are enjoying the nicer temps this week.

Red, White and Blue and/or Christmas too

The DT challenge over at D2D this week is red, white and blue, but since it is the last challenge of the month and that is usually our Christmas challenge, it has the option of adding Christmas, too. I thought this was a fun one. And I'm building up a nice little stash of Christmas cards for next year!

I went with the image Bear's Big Gift and colored him with red, white and blue. His gift is sparkled up with stickles and his boots are covered with glossy accents.

I've gone with one of my favorite weekly sketches. This is Sketchy Thursday #136 from Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp. You've got to check out her sketches if you haven't yet, they are always awesome!
