Swinging Cosette

This is one of the new Divas from Rubber Romance. She is called Cosette on a Swing. How pretty is she? I love the name Cosette too, very cool. The dew drops on the tree are my version of apples. A touch of spring on this wintery day.

Check out the Rubber Romance blog for some great tutorials. They are posted every few days. Also the sketch challenges are posted on the 10th and 20th of every month. Try and do the challenges if you can (there are prizes involved)!

Thanks for stopping by today. Stay safe tonight!

The Greeting Farm (sketch 3)

I'm really getting these sketches done, I can't believe it. Makes me feel great to get these cuties inked up. Feel better about ordering a few more once I've used all the ones I already own (need to justify a purchase, LOL).

This little girl is Megan from the Wild Sprouts line. She has such an attitude, I love it. Had to make her a feisty red head. I think she is so adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Can't believe the year is almost over. Think I better start thinking of my resolutions. Maybe clean up craft room should be the first one. My hubby told me tonight that I'm not setting a good example for the kids when I tell them to keep the play room clean, yet my room is a mess! That totally cracked me up!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Megan from TGF
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Yoyo Yellow, Tempting Turquiose, Certainly Celery, DCWV Citrus Stack
Embellishments: Nesties, primas, copics, rhinestone, dimensionals

The Greeting Farm (sketch 2)

Here is my second card for the 12 Days of Sketches card challenge from The Greeting Farm Blog. Love this little Hippie Anya, she's so cute. Don't know if you can tell by the photo, but I left her feet bare, didn't think this little hippie chick would like shoes, LOL! Hope you have a chance to check out the fun sketches on the TGF blog!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great one!

The Greeting Farm (sketch one)

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We enjoyed Christmas so much this year. The kids are the perfect age, they are so in awe of everything. The older two both wanted to know how Santa knew exactly what they wanted. I thought that was so cute! We spent Christmas day at home with the kids, then had my in laws over for dinner. We kept things very relaxed, and everyone had a great time.

On to my card. The Greeting Farm blog is having a 12 Days of Sketches card challenge going on right now. I thought it would be the perfect way to show some love to some of my Greeting Farm stamps that haven't seen ink before. I ordered a bunch of them right before I had Lilah and haven't had a chance to use all of them. This is the first sketch. Love the star shaped glasses on Anya. I think I'm going to send this one to my niece! Check out the sketches, they are really fun and lots of variety. If I make it to day 12, I'll have a dozen fun cards to mail out at the start of 2010!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! As always I appreciate all your kind comments.

Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Verve sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Playing in the Rain

I made this card for last weeks MoJo challenge. I thought it was a nice and simple sketch that was perfect for a larger image like this one. This little guy is Kai in the Rain, from Mo's Digital Pencil. Kids can't seem to stay out of puddles! I noticed recently all the kids at the bus stop were jumping in puddles before school. I couldn't bear to sit all day with wet feet, but one little boy told me he doesn't mind! I guess that's what being little is all about.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm doing some Christmas baking. All the gifts are purchased, just need a wrapping marathon now. Hope you all are having a great week. To all my East Coast friends, stay warm and safe. We were hit hard with snow over the weekend.

Card Recipe:
Ink: printer ink
Paper: PTI white and Orange Crush, Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi, MME patterned paper
Embellishments: MS border punch, nesties, copics, PTI ribbon, corner rounder, stickles, crystal effects

Edwin has been found!

Had a bit of time to stamp during nap time. Probably should have been doing laundry, but oh well, I needed a little "me" time. This adorable image is from Magnolia, I just got it last week and couldn't wait to use it. This one is great, too cause I'll be able to use it all winter, not just for Christmas. I used a sketch challenge from SCS for the layout (SC259).

If you read my post the other day you might remember me saying I stamped up an image of my new Edwin sledding stamp and then couldn't find it. I mentioned that Liam really liked the image, well that night look what I found taped up to the wall in the playroom! My little Picasso colored Edwin in and even hung him up. This really made me laugh. The kids are usually pretty good about not touching or taking my art supplies, but Edwin must have looked too good to resist!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I can't believe Christmas is so close, I've got so much left to do, good thing I thrive under pressure! I'll be braving the crowds this weekend. Hope you are all better prepared than I am!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia Edwin Sledding
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Soft Sky, Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses
Embellishments: SU corner rounder and ribbon, cuttlebug embsossing folder, dimensionals, MS punch, rhinestones from Michaels, copics, stickles, sakura glitter pen, liquid applique

MTSC52 with a Mo's digi image

How cute is this little girl image? I just love these Mo's Digital stamp images, this one is called "You're My Best". The children images from Mo's are so sweet, a lot of them remind me of my kids. I think I see many more purchases in my future, LOL!

I used Mercy's sketch for this week (MTSC52). And I also combined it with the SCS color challenge of the week (CC249), So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Mellow Moss. Really pretty colors together, something I think I would use again.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I always appreciate all your nice comments!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Mo's digital You're My Best, PTI sentiment
Ink: Printer ink, Palette Noir
Paper: PTI ssw, So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Mellow Moss

Rubber Romance December 10th Sketch

Here is a fun sketch for you to try out from the Rubber Romance blog. The very best part is that there is a prize, so go ahead and make a card. Find all the details here.

For my take on the card I used Carrie and the Country Girl phrase. I'm so not a country girl myself, more of a city girl, or even maybe a suburbs kind of girl. Camping and outdoors type things are not my style, but I had to have this stamp anyway, cause it was so cute. I have lots of friends who would love this card and image, so I'll send it off to one of them! Love the orange on this card, I think orange is my new favorite color, so bright and cheerful!

On a funny family note... My four year old is really into Christmas this year. He was super excited to decorate the tree and loves to turn on all the lights and candles in the window. He even will just sit on the couch and look at the tree forever, not like him to sit still either. This morning when he woke up, I heard him coming down the stairs and went to say good morning to him. He said, "Mom, did Santa come last night? Is today Christmas?" It was so cute, the look on his face was pure excitement. He wasn't even disappointed when I told him it wasn't today. He is just excited to be surrounded by everything Christmasy. So much fun to see everything through his eyes this year.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Carrie and sentiment from Rubber Romance
Ink: Palette Noir, Night of Navy
Paper: PTI ssw, Night of Navy, MME patterned paper
Embellishments: nesties, prisma pencils and gamsol, SU corner rounders, Petaloo flowers, velvet flowers, brads from Target dollar bin

Another Rubber Romance ornament

Here are two Rubber Romance ornaments I made for the tree, or to give as last minute gifts! If you would like to see the directions check out my tutorial on the Rubber Romance blog.

Both of these ornaments use Merry the Christmas Diva from Rubber Romance. She is available in their etsy store along with all the new Divas. There are some really fabulous new images.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tilda is baking cookies

Trying to ink up my new Magnolias before Christmas! I loved this little baking Tilda as soon as I saw her. I think I'm going to mail this card off to my Nana. I used to go to her house and bake Christmas cookies with her right after Thanksgiving every year. She doesn't do much baking anymore, she is 95 now and rather frail. I can't really go and help her bake because of the kids, but I think I'll send her some of the things I bake this year. She really is the one who instilled the love in baking in me!

This card was from a SCS sketch challenge last week (SC258). Thought it worked nicely with this image. If the dsp looks familiar that cause it is the same one I used on my last card. It was still sitting on my desk, so I decided to use it up. My gosh my office is trashed, between trying to wrap gifts, make cards and ornaments and other holiday stuff, it really is a mess. Guess that can be a New Years resolution (among others) to clean it up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda and sentiment by Magnolia
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses
Embellishments: copics, nesties, SU top note die and ribbon, dimensionals

Unwrapped Tilda

My Magnolia Christmas stamps that I pre-ordered in October finally arrived! So happy to get them, had to ink them right up! This little cutie is called Unwrapped Tilda.

I stamped up another image and can't find it. It is Edwin on a Sled. I remembered Liam watching me stamp him up and him saying "boy that kid is having fun on his sled!" I think my missing image might be getting some crayola treatment right now.

Well, TGIF! Lots to do this weekend, decorating, shopping and baking. Try to get a lot done on the weekend when my hubby is home, so I don't have to take the baby out. Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful weekend.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Unwrapped Tilda, SU sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Wild Wassabi, Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses
Embellishments: Mini brads, SU retired organdy ribbon, nesties, cuttlebug embossing folder, copics

Pretty Little Rubber Romance Gift CardHolder

I always like to present the gift cards I buy in a homemade card, makes it seem more thoughtful. I made this cute little gift card holder to give to my husband with a gift card for a spa. He's been saying he really "needs" a massage. Hopefully he'll enjoy his massage! This Holiday Diva from Rubber Romance is Stephanie has a gift for you at Christmas. She is glitzed up with some stickles on the back of her dress and her mitten.

Here is the inside of the card with the gift card slipped into the pocket. For the inside sentiment I inked up part of a Rubber Romance sentiment with a red marker, to just get the words "Ho Ho".

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are keeping warm. I keep hearing about lots of areas getting snow, none here yet.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Rubber Romance Stephanie has a gift for you at Christmas and sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red
Paper: Real Red, Mellow Moss, PTI ssw, Basic Gray Figgy
Embellishments: nesties, copics, SU ribbon and border punch, stickles, dimensionals, Robin's Nest metallic dew drops

Happy Birthday Maura

My friend's little girl Maura has a birthday coming up this weekend. She's turning two. One of her gifts from her parents is a tricycle, so I thought this image was perfect! This is one of my first digi images. I love how easy it was to print and resize it. My blogger friends pointed me in the direction of a good tutorial for resizing, and amazingly enough even with my limited computer skills it was pretty easy!

I used MoJo116 as a sketch for this card. I altered it a bit to make a round card, since my image was large. This digi image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. She has so many wonderful images, and I really think it is cool that lots of her images have an ethnic look to them. I bought several, so I hope to get more done this week.

Thanks for stopping by today. Can't wait for So You Think You Can Dance tonight!

Card Recipe:
Stamp: ByeBye from Mo's Digital Pencil
Ink: Printer ink
Paper: Real Red, Summer Sun, Tangerine Tango, PTI ssw, Patterned paper from my scraps

Still have two sick kiddos here. Hoping the bug is on the way out though. Talked to a friend of Cal's mother and she said several kids were out sick this week. Guess it's going around. Hopefully they'll be feeling better soon. I'm the worst when the kids are sick, totally stress out and panic. You'd never guess I was a pediatric nurse when I was working, LOL.

Verve Release Color Challenge

The new Verve release was on Black Friday. I tried to get to all the challenges, found on the Verve Blog, but only did four out of five. This was the first challenge, a color one. To use black, white, turquoise, and green. Seemed like an unlikely color combo to me, but I loved it when it came together. Fun and different for a holiday card!
A nasty stomach bug hit our house in the middle of the night last night. Yucko! It's the two older guys. We're trying to keep the little ones away from them, especially the baby. Hope we can contain it. My oldest is starting to feel better, though, cause he asked for a salami sandwich for lunch. No, he didn't get one, not on a queasy stomach! No good would have come of that I'm sure.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope to update more regularly this week, I've got some cards made and ready to go!

Merry Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving friends! Yeah, I know thats not a Thanksgiving card I posted, I'm not totally losing it! I just love to go full on into Christmas mode starting with Thanksgiving, so I figured I'd post a Christmas card today. Hope you are all enjoying your holiday with family and friends. We are laying low with the kids and my father. A very relaxed day. Not even having a turkey, we don't like it that much. So very easy day for all of us. Enjoy your holiday and be safe. Thanks for stopping by today.

Rubber Romance Bake Sale Tag

For school bake sales I like to make quick breads. My favorites are banana and pumpkin. When I buy things at a bake sale I like to know who made it and what's in it. So I thought I would create some quick tags to go with my baked goods. I used this cute Diva Chef from Rubber Romance. I printed the recipe and that is on the back side. i wrapped my bread in parchment paper, I love the look of this. Very Martha Stewart, don't you think? Tied it with a pretty ribbon and there you go.

Here is a close up of the tag. I kept it pretty simple. I just stamped my image, cropped it with some circle nestabilities and colored it with copics. While I love glitter, pearls and rhinestones, I don't think they belong this close to food. Didn't want anyone eating a rhinestone, KWIM?

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you had a great weekend!

You're a Hoot!

My middle son turned 4 last week. I made him this cute tee shirt card. The little tee with an animal reminded me of a bunch of his summer tee shirts from Children's Place. He was super excited to get this card. He is the one who admires my cards, he always says "that's a beautiful card, Mom." He definitely is a hoot!

The owl is covered in just a dusting of white fun flock, so he is soft and touchable. The hearts have a touch of stickles, too. I just winged it with the tee shirt shape, I didn't have a template, but it was pretty easy.

The darling little owl and sentiment are both from Rubber Romance, the Cutie Pie line. All the stamps are just so sweet in this line, check them out!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Rubber Romance Cutie Pie stamps
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper: PTI ssw, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip

She's Here!

Here she is... Lilah Marie! She was born last Monday, October 26, 2009. Marie is after my mother, who passed away very suddenly in March of 2002. Wish she could actually know my mom, but I wanted her to at least share her name.

This photo is from last Thursday. It was her coming home from the hospital outfit, not exactly practical (according to my dear friend Megan), but it sure is cute. We've been up a lot at night, she seems to have days and nights mixed up. But I think that's pretty common early on.

Her brothers are adjusting well. I feel bad because I haven't been able to do as much with them as usual, because I'm still pretty sore from the c-section. But their dad has been home, and they are thrilled with that!

No new cards or projects to share. Hopefully, once we sort out the sleep schedule a bit better I'll be able to get some stamping done.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bewitching

How cute is Sabrina from Rubber Romance? I think she is such a hip witch, not scary at all. Check out her boots! They are all stickled up for sparkle, I'd love a pair like this, but I probably couldn't walk in them, LOL! I guess this will be my last Halloween card for this year. Always seems to come up so fast, and I don't make as many as I would like.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all enjoy Halloween this year, eat lots of candy. I know I will. Can't wait for an excuse to eat some Reese Cups and Snickers, my favorites! Lucky for me the kids prefer the fruity stuff and lollipops, so I get the chocolate!

I'll have to try to post a pic of the costumes, the Star Wars theme won out again this year (third year in row). My oldest likes to coordinate everyone. The costumes look pretty cute, especially the Ewok one for Finn.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Sabrina, Rubber Romance
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, computer generated sentiment
Paper: Only Orange, Wild Wasabi, PTI ssw, MM Halloween paper
Embellishments: Nesties, Mini brads, stickles, crystal effects, AC Moore ribbon

Warm Woolen Mittens (These are a Few of My Favorite Things)

Anyone else love that song from the Sound of Music? It's one of my favorite songs! These little mittens are coated with a hint of white fun flock to give them a woolen look. The sketch here is from SCS, a challenge sketch from Verve's release week challenges.

This image was a free digital image offered for a limited time from Verve. It's the first time I've tried a digital image. It printed out nicely and was easy to color with copics, no smearing, I was surprised. Now I still have no idea how to re-size the images and sentiments, but I may have to fool around with this a bit. Up until now, I've been afraid to try digital images, but this freebie tempted me. I'm glad I gave it a go, not as scary as I thought. Who knows, maybe I'll become techno savvy, yet?!! Haha, doubtful!

Thanks so much for dropping by, I appreciate all you visits and comments! Hopefully I'll be back to some live blogging by the weekend!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Verve digi stamp, Winter Mittens

Tea or Coffee?

Here is another card I did for the Verve Release week challenge sketches on SCS. I love the little stack of cups, so whimsical. Hard to see in the photo, but they are covered in crystal effects, so they look like real ceramic cups. Reminds me of those Topsy Turvy wedding cakes. Have you ever seen them, so cute.

Baby Girl Welcome Card

Well I thought I'd post this little card today. I made it for the Verve release week sketches last week. I figured it was good timing, as we will be welcoming our little girl into the family tomorrow. Think of us around 3pm, if you can. That is when my c-section is scheduled for. I'm getting a bit nervous, and really should be doing other things right now, like packing a bag or finishing up laundry. But here I sit updating my blog, LOL. Oh well, I guess I should enjoy my last day at home right?

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. I'll have a few posts pre-scheduled for this week, if you feel like stopping back to visit!

Stop by the Verve forum on SCS tonight for the release party.

I'm off for pre-admission testing at the hospital. My dad came up to watch the boys. Hope they go easy on him, LOL! Also hoping the hospital is running close to schedule. He might be exhausted when I get home. I'll have to fix him a nice dinner to make up for it!

Yoga for Relaxation!

Well, I can't say I really know about yoga for relaxation, but I've heard it works wonders. Maybe one of these days I'll give it a try. It's one of those things I've always wanted to try.

This Bella card was made for the Bella sketch challenge, BSC82 on SCS. I really love doing sketch challenges, it gives you an easy place to start. Especially when time is limited (like during nap time, LOL). I think sketches are the easiest challenges to work with. I have a few more sketch challenge cards to post in the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate each and every one of you taking a minute to visit my blog and all your nice comments.

Diva Wine Charms

From the name of my blog, I guess you know I'm a wine lover. I like to make wine charms using shrink plastic as gifts. My girlfriends especially love receiving these.

If you've never tried to make them, they are super simple. I have a tutorial to walk you through the whole process posted today on the Rubber Romance blog. Check it out and give it try. Let me know how yours turn out. This close up shows how it looks on the stem of a wine glass.

I like to tie them together with some ribbon and package them up nicely for a great gift! Sometimes it's all in the packaging!

Here you can see the whole set together. Check out the Diva line of Rubber Romance stamps. They are the ones I used for these charms. They make perfect girly gifts (like these wine charms) and cards.

Thanks for stopping by today! Post me a link with your wine charm creations if you have a chance to try them.

VLV October challenge

Here's my card for the VLVOCT01 challenge. It was a sketch challenge with a shabby chic twist. Not too good at shabby chic, collage or distress style here, but I gave it a go. I love this K and Co. patterned paper and thought it looked a bit shabby chic already, so I went with it! Thanks for looking!

Really weird, by blog title and header photo are missing right now. Don't know what happened. I think I'll just leave it alone for now and see if it comes back, maybe it is something with Blogger?! I'm not too computer savvy, so not really sure what to do. If it doesn't come back, my dad will be her Thursday night for a visit, so I'll see if he can help. He's very good at this stuff!

T minus one week and counting down. Not sure if that is how the phrase goes, but anyway, one week to go. Starting to stress out a little here. I couldn't really sleep last night, was up at around 5:30 making chocolate chip pancakes for the kids, they were thrilled! Off to get some things done while the Finn-man naps. Thanks for stopping by today!

Sugar Bowl challenge 21

I made this one for the Sugar Bowl challenge 21. Along with the sketch this time, the twist was to make a Christmas card. I hope this counts, it is sort of an anti-holiday card. I always have a friend or two that are having trouble getting in the holiday spirit. I thought this fun little card would be perfect to send to give them a smile. Who could look at this Little Miss Attitude in her holiday dress and not smile?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you had a great weekend. Looking forward to the Phillies game tonight.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Sugarnellie, Gorjuss Girls, Little Miss Attitude
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, sentiment generated on computer
Paper: PTI ssw and New Leaf, Pretty in Pink, Ballet Blue, DCWV Holiday stack
Embellishments: SU border punch, circle punches and taffeta ribbon, MS snowflake punch, copics, rhinestones, nesties, dimensionals, crystal effects (on her shoes)

TGIF! With a MoJo sketch.

So glad it is Friday and that my husband will be home tomorrow night. It's been a loooong week without him here. The older two have been sick with coughs and colds. I think we are all getting a little stir crazy. We were supposed to have some company tomorrow, but I canceled, don't want to spread out germs around!

Anyway, here is the MoJo Monday sketch #108. I know today is Friday, but I just got to it. It was a fun sketch to work with. The card came together fast, too, since there was no coloring. I love to color images, but sometimes it's good to just stamp and go!

Hope you all have a happy and restful weekend. Hoping to stamp a lot on Sunday while hubby entertains the kids!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Verve, Harvest Blessings
Ink: Choc. Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Choc. Chip, PTI ssw, patterned paper by DCWV

Think Pink in October

October is breast cancer awareness month. So I figured it was the perfect time to ink up Causeabella. I love this stamp, she can be used for just about any cause by changing the color of the ribbon. She is just so much fun to color, too.

I used two different challenges for this card. The first one was Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (MTSC43). Once again, she had another amazing sketch to use! I also just found the JUGS blog. That stands for Just Us Girls. Their challenge this week was to paper piece (JUGS2). I love paper piecing, so I pieced this Bella's dress. They also asked us to use pink this week. I love all these challenge blogs, they really give me great inspiration.

Off to a doctor's appointment this morning. Hopefully things will look good. Only eleven days to go. I probably should be freaking out a bit, but I'm not yet. Thanks for stopping by today!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Causeabella and sentiment by Stamping Bella
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pink Passion
Paper: PTI ssw, Pink Passion, patterned paper from Creating Keepsakes

Congrats on a Huge Rock!

Check out the new Rubber Romance sketch challenge. The challenges are posted on the Rubber Romance blog on the 10th and 20th of each month. The best part is that with every challenge you have a chance to win a prize! Now if that's not incentive, I don't know what is?

Here is my take on the challenge. As you can see, I omitted the sentiment on the front. That's because I had a fabulous Rubber Romance sentiment I wanted to use inside (it was too big to go on the front). This stamp is Emily is Engaged, you can find her and her Diva friends here.
So, here is the inside of my card. That sentiment is great isn't it? It just makes me smile. I do love good wine and you can't go wrong with a big diamond! I usually don't decorate the inside of my cards, but I had fun adding a little something pretty to the inside of this one!
Run over to the Rubber Romance blog and check out the sketch. Hope to see some submissions!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great week. My hubby is traveling this week. Lucky guy is at a conference in Arizona, and it involves multiple rounds of golf. So I'm sure he's one happy guy! I'm hoping the kids sleep well this week, so I can get more projects done at night. We'll see....

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Emily is Engaged and sentiment from Rubber Romance
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, PTI Scarlet Jewel, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, DCWV All Dressed Up Glitter Stack
Embellishments: nesties, copics, MM mini brads, SU ribbon, PTI button, twine, rhinestone, crystal effects, sakura glitter pen

Sweet Dreamers challenge (bugging out)

I combined two challenges for this sweet little card. Our Sweet Dreamer's blog group was challenged to make a card with a bug on it this week. I hope this little moth qualifies! I don't really have many buggy stamps. I also used Aly's 3rd sketch challenge for the layout. I'm sure you remember me mentioning Aly before, she is the talented ten year old girl who started her own sketch blog. She posts a new sketch every other Sunday and makes her own amazing samples. Check her blog out!

The kids are down at a reasonable hour tonight, so I'm making this post quick so I can go stamp a bit more. Thanks for stopping by today!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Stamping Bella Huggabugg and sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Gable Green (for sponging)
Paper: PTI ssw, Gable Green, Green Galore, DCWV polka dot patterned paper

Sweet Dreamers Challenge (A Christmas card with an animal)

Our Sweet Dreamers blog group challenge this week was to make a Christmas card with an animal. I don't do too many animal cards, but had this cute image I received from a friend in Wish Rak. The berries are coated in Crystal Effects and look really pretty in real life.

Thanks for stopping by this weekend! Hope you all had a happy and healthy break this weekend.

Go Yankees, they are up two games. Maybe I shouldn't get excited yet. My friend Ilena is very nervous, every time I say they look good, she thinks I'll jinx them! Hope not!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Penny Black Hedge Hog
Ink: Black
Paper: White, Real Red, Garden Green
Embellishments: Prisma color pencils and gamsol, MS border punch, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Crystal Effects, stickles, offray ribbon

Congrats on Your Bike-A-Thon!

Happy weekend everyone! Kids are excited, it's a long weekend, no school on Monday for Columbus Day. Tonight we have my husband's high school reunion. I still don't know what I'm going to wear. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, right?

This is my take on the Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge this week (MTSC42). I've been trying to do this challenge each week, since I found out about them about a month ago. They are really fun sketches!

I made this card for my dear friend Megan, who just completed a bike ride to raise money for MS, called Bike to the Bay. She rode 17 miles, holy moly! I'm so proud of her for finishing the bike ride, that's pretty long of a ride, in my opinion. She trained for some time to get ready. Megan, if you are reading this, pretend to be surprised when this arrives in your mailbox, LOL!

I told my husband that I was making a card for her to celebrate this accomplishment. He said, "Do you really have a girl on a bike stamp?" Um, yeah, and I probably have stamps to celebrate almost any occasion anyone could happen upon! A little scary, but it's always better to be prepared!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Stampingbella, I wish I looked so good on a bikeabella, PTI sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Garden Green
Paper: Garden Green, Pixie Pink, PTI ssw, Basic Grey Sultry
Embellishments: copics, spica glitter pens, sakura silver gel pen, Bella's Baubles, scalloped punch, nesties,

Birthday Bird Cage

I just got some card kits back from a swap I did. The card kit swaps are so much fun. They include stamped images, patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments. This swap was for Magnolia card kits. This particular one came from my stamping friend Linda Palmer. I fell in love with this image and the patterned paper she sent immediately. It just so happened that the image fit nicely with today's SCS sketch challenge 249. And the baby took a long nap, things really went my way this afternoon!

Hope to stamp a little more tonight, my husband has tickets to the Yankee's playoff game (a little jealous here)! He's taking clients for work, but still should be fun for him. So I'm going to stamp a little while I watch the game on TV. The Phillies are on right now. Very excited that my two favorite teams are playing October ball this year! Don't know yet, but I'm feeling like the Yankees might be due for a World Series win this year, we'll see!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are all having a terrific week!
