Lots of Luck to You!

I can't believe tomorrow is March already! I've got a cute little card to share using Phindy's Place image Lots of Luck to You. My very favorite part of this image is the way she has her sweater buttoned up crooked, looks like she was rushing and missed one, so cute.

I've used the Friday Sketchers sketch #143 for the layout of this card.

Hope you are starting off you week well!

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! Time once again for Phindy's Friday challenge.  This week it is a sketch (drawn up by Anne-Marije, one the the talented Phindy's dt members).  I love sketch challenges, this one was no exception. Check out all the great DT samples this week, fun takes on the sketch!

I used Stepping Out Katie, she is so cute with her little pram! There is also an African American version called Stepping out Tanya. That image is super cute, too.

I hope you will check out the challenge and play along with us. You don't need to use a Phindy's image to play, but we love to see them if you have them. And when using a Phindy's image, you get two entries!

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the second Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long blog hop for 2011. The ladies from the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group have a hop on the 25th of every month.  By December, you have a good selection of Magnolia cards ready to send. I participated in most of the months last year and really enjoyed it.

You can find the order of the hop on the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog.  If you arrived here from Jessica's blog you are in the right place.

For my creation this month I used Tilda Hanging Ornaments and Lightening Edwin, from the Magnolia-licious web site, both are in stock right now. I used sketch at Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge (HLSC11) for the layout.

Now hop on over to Lauren's blog and see what she has crafted up for this month. Thanks for hopping along with us, hope you will join us on the 25th of March!

D2D Sneak Peek

Well, it is officially Thursday, and tonight the new Designed2Delight image will be emailed to those who played in the Delightful Inspiration challenge last week.  Starting last Thursday Faith allowed us to start sneak peeking the release at 12:00 am on Thursday.  The Card Ideas blog has some other samples for you to see and you still have all day to complete your card with last week's image to earn this one.

This week's image is "daffodil". Isn't this little vase of blooms so pretty? As I mentioned before, they are one of my favorite spring flowers. My favorite variety are the ones with the orange centers, so that's how I colored these ones.  I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch #82 for the card design. I'm also entering Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge #18 (RRR18) which is a spring theme. What could be more springy than daffodils?

I printed off three sets of this image.  I popped up the whole flower first, then I popped up just the flower centers and hit them with a touch of stickles.  I have this little close up to give an idea of the dimension, it looks pretty cool in real life.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you are having a great week.

A Happy Wednesday!

Waking up at 4 am to a screaming 2 year old didn't seem to be such a great start to Wednesday.  I tried to channel Jo aka Super Nanny and her "stay in bed technique".
Didn't really work too well this morning.  So I was in the kitchen having coffee and serving waffles by 5. When I checked my "crackberry" and saw that I had been selected as a part of Mabelle RO.'s Whimsy and Stars guest design team, I was super excited! My whole day changed for the better, lol! You can check out all her sweet images here.

I have two cards to show you today using Whimsy and Stars images. The first uses Alex Birthday.  I used the Create 4 Fun challenge #8 sketch for the layout.  And I'm entering it into the Paper Sundaes #57 masculine colors challenge. For a bit of dimension I printed him twice and popped up his sweet little face on foam dots.

This next bright and cheerful card I made using my Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper, I took inspiration from the bright colors in this pack. The image is called Springtime Basket Bunny.  I think this cheery card will go to my chemo angel buddy closer to Easter. I used the Eat, Sleep, Stamp sketch #118 for this one, but flipped it upside down.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!  Stay warm and be well.

She sent this adorable little Tilda. I paired her up with one of my Edwins. I don't know why, but I thought she looked like she was being serenaded.

Cards with the Help for Katie set

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope if you have a day off for President's Day (US) or Family Day (Canada) you are enjoying it!

I've got two cards to show you today using the Help for Katie set that Faith has drawn to benefit Katie Renz and her family.  You can read about it on Help for Katie blog. For a $15 donation, you can get this exclusive set as well as many other images and papers from other digital artists.  The money all goes straight to Katie and her family. This set Faith has drawn is so springy and fun, I can think of so many uses for it.

First I did a clean and simple card using the bee hive image.  The leaves are coated in crystal effects for a glossy look.  I used the CAS sketch #127 for this one.

The second card I made used the cute little bear and one of the sentiments. I used the Sketch Saturday week #143 for the layout of this one. The little yellow dew drops along the side look a little like honey drops.

Embellishments: copics, nesties, sponges, crystal effects, stickles, SU ribbon, PTI ribbon, dew drops, MS border punch, SU corner rounder, cuttlebug embossing folder, American Crafts brads

Hush a Bye Wee Babbie

Have you seen the new "babbies" in town? Phindy has drawn a new line of images for Phindy's Place digital stamps called the Wee Babbies.  They are a line of baby images that are oh so cute. I have the pleasure of debuting Hush a Bye Wee Babbie today.

I was just so excited when I saw this image. Some of you who read my blog know I have a 15 month  old "babbie" of my own Lilah, and when I saw this little sweetie cuddling her doll, I fell in love immediately. Check out all the Wee Babbies in the store. Phindy is releasing a new one every few days, so check back often.

For the card layout I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT for February.

One Last Valentine

I know Valentine's day is as far away as it ever will be, lol. But I had this image printed off (Cupid Bubbles from Phindy's Place) and decided I wanted to use it. It's already in the mail!

I used the Sketch and Stash challenge #55 (flipped it upside down) for this one. The patterned paper is new and the image is being used for the first time, but those stick pins are super old, they've been in my drawer for over a year. I really like them, I might have to use up some more of them.

Also using this for the Use it Tuesday Challenge #1 (use an image that you have not previously used on a project). This image I've had for a bit, but it is the first time I used it for anything. Check out the Use it Tuesday challenge blog, good new challenge blog for a hoarder like me!

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF!  Friday means it's time for Phindy's Friday Challenge over on the challenge blog. This week's challenge is "Spring is on the Way". Well, I'm not too sure if that is true around here yet, lol, but it was fun to make a cheerful springy card!

This little guy, A Little Tied Up, from Phindy's Place just made me smile.  My dad bought the boys kites last year, so I think I'll send this one to him!

The fold here is called a spring fold.  Tutorial is from SCS. It folds flat and fits in a square envie, so it would be easy to mail.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you will stop over to the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog and play along this week.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Valentine Treats from D2D

Happy weekend!  Very cool and drizzly here today, good day to stay inside and keep warm.  The Card Ideas blog has a new challenge posted today.  It calls for making a card and coordinating treat packaging, with a choice of two older D2D digi stamps.  I went with Puppy Love, this image is too cute!  I made a card and a little box for kisses. The box is from a PTI die cut, quick and easy.

Here is a look at the set.  I think I'm going to do something like this for the teachers and bus drivers for Valentine's Day. Who doesn't like a sweet treat?  Just counted and looks like I will need 9, better ger cracking!

If you have free time this weekend, drop by the PCP and CDAC Designed2Delight groups and check out some of the fun games and challenges going on right now, for a chance to win some great prizes.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF!  Here is my first card as part of the DT for the Phindy's Friday Challenge blog. The challenge this week is embossing.  Since I use embossing folders on almost every card, this was a fun one for me!  I combined two different embossed card stocks for this card, I used a Cuttlebug polka dot folder and a Sizzix Valentine folder. This adorable bunny, Brave Heart, is  from Phindy's Place.  I think it was meant to be a boy bunny, but I couldn't resist putting a little bow on the ear.

I used the Sketch N Stash challenge #54 for this layout.  The Basic Gray Bittersweet paper is from my hoarded stash, and the image is new.

Hope you will come on over to the Phindy's Friday Challenge blog and join the challenge this week. You don't need to use a Phindy's image, but we love to see them if you have them, plus you get a second entry into the random drawing if you use a Phindy's image.  Check out the other beautiful creations from the other DT members (links on my sidebar).

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers to Ten Years!

Today is my 10th wedding anniversary.  10 years of wedded bliss is what I said to my dh at the breakfast table this morning, right before some fighting broke out (between the kiddos) over syrup or something silly.  We were both cracking up!

This is the anniversary card I created for him, the image is called Winter Walk from Phindy's Place.  I tried to keep it relatively manly (no bows or rhinestones).  I think he'll like it.  No big plans, we're going to have sushi after the kids are asleep while we watch Jersey Shore, romance at it's best!

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to stop back tomorrow for my first Friday Phindy's Place challenge post.

Be My Valentine

Happy Tuesday all.  It is snowy and sleety here today, kind of messy.  Melanie, the owner of our Magnolia Card and Kit Swaps Yahoo group, issued a sketch challenge for those who wanted to participate. It was such a great sketch I had to give it a go.  My Maggies have been feeling neglected lately, so I was super happy to color one and create with it.  I also made it for the Totally Tilda challenge #15, Tilda with lots of hearts.  The challenge was to use at least three hearts.  Tilda is holding hearts, my border punch is hearts and one of my patterned papers has tiny hearts.  Fun Valentine challenge.  I've got several more Valentine Tildas, better get cracking as it is only two weeks away!

Thanks for stopping by, stay warm, safe and well!
