Distressed Nana

This is such a sweet image from Phindy's Place, called Nana Pies. We've always called my grandmothers "Nana".  I'm so fortunate to still have both of them alive (one is 96 and the other one is 99). While neither of them baked pies too often, they both did bake, so this image evoked some fond memories.

The challenge at Phindy's Place Challenge Blog this week was #37, distressing. Yikes, that is stressful for me. I was a little stressed taking the blade to the edge of this gorgeous paper, but in the end, I do like the frayed edges.  I also really crumpled and mashed up the paper that I made the flowers with to give them a distressed look, too.

The sketch I used was from the Shabby Tea Room week #44, sketch this.

Thanks so much for dropping by today.  We enjoyed a snow day today, had about 12 inches, but the roads are pretty clear, so I think it's back to school tomorrow.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Nana Pies from Phindy's Place
Ink:  Printer
Paper:  PTI ssw, Kraft, SU Dusty Durango, DCWV Crafty paper pack
Embellishments:  copics, stickles, crystal effects, nesties, MFT coiled flower die, Kaiser pearls, MS leaf punch, SU ribbon, PTI button, EK Success border punch
