From the Heart Stamps

This adorable image is from From the Heart Stamps called Birdbrain Ninja. This is one of my favorite Birdbrains. I colored it up girly this time, in the past I've done him more masculine for cards for the boys.

I've used him to day for one of the SCS HYCCT challenges.

My sketch comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches #335, great sketch over there again this week!

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration Thursday

We've got some fun going on at Little Miss Muffet today. It's inspiration day on our facebook group.  The stamp I'm using is from Little Miss Muffet,  it is a called Sonny Honeycloud Rocks. I was just mentioning on the LMM facebook group that these Honeycloud Teens have become my go to images for my son's friends. They are 11 and 12 year olds and at the "too cool for school" stage. These images are so hip, cool and fun, perfect for teens and preteens.  Stop by the Little Miss Muffet facebook group and check out the other gorgeous cards!

I'm playing along with the HYCCT challenges on SCS. Hope you will join the fun, too. This one is for Misti's scar challenge to use a torn edge.

Sami Stamps Cards

Happy Monday! Another weekend has come and gone, too fast as usual. I have two Sami Stamps cards to share today. These were from the HYCCT challenges at SCS. I'm still catching up on blogging all of them.

This first one uses the image called Winter Romance. This would make a great Valentine, too. We usually have plenty of snow around Valentine's Day.

And my second one used the image called Arms Full of Love.  This has to be one of my faves from Sami's store, it's so sweet.

Did you notice that both of my images are from the back view? For some reason, I'm always drawn to images with a back view. Something very sweet and tender about them!

Sami Stamps challenge is going on with plenty of time to enter, the theme is anything goes, so easy peasy. And for every $4 you spend in the store between now and Dec 31 will enter you in a drawing to win 15% off of all Sami Stamps purchases during 2015. That would be a pretty great prize!

Think Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. Our theme this month is “Think Pink” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous pink projects.
I would imagine we all know someone who has had or has breast cancer. My mother in law is a breast cancer survivor. But a dear friend of mine Chelle lost her battle a few years back, so any pink cards I make are in her honor. She was sweet, funny, generous and spirited and fought a good battle.
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store. And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $15 gift voucher to the store!
If you have arrived from Jo's Blog, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.
Here is my project, using Birdbrain Balloon, isn't this image so funny? Love these little birds! I've kept this one very clean and simple. I've used the paper tole technique to layer the balloon and eyes. It really gives great dimension. It was one of the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges at SCS yesterday and a technique I had never really tried,  I've paper pieced, but here you sort of round off the layers with an embossing tool. I really like how it made the eyes look.
For my layout I've used Freshly Made Sketches sketch #156. Love this sketch and I'm sure I'll use it again.

Now head over to the very talented Kelly's blog and see what they she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday October 6th, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday October 8th.

Apple of My Eye

I think the sentiment Apple of My Eye from the Apple a Day set at Designed2Delight is too cute.  I paired it with the tree from the Willow Whimsy set (this is the smaller tree).  I covered each flower on the tree with a dew drop "apple".  I didn't have red dew drops (go figure I only have them in about 50 colors, LOL).  So I took a copic and colored some clear ones, it worked beautifully.

No sketch involved here, just a CAS little card.  I'm also using this for the HYCCT challenges on SCS.  This one is for the Walk on By challenge, to use something you see when you go for a walk as inspiration.  A neighbor has a crab apple tree and they are falling off right now, so I thought of that for my inspiration.

I've heard that you can make jelly out of crab apples, I wonder how that would be?  Think I'm in an apple-y mood lately, might call for a little bit of baking later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Designed2Delight Willow Whimsy set and  Apple a Day set
Ink:  Printer, Old Olive, Always Artichoke
Paper:  PTI ssw, SU Old Olive, Kraft, BG Oliver polka dotted
