Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. We have a Meet the Design Team theme this month. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects and telling us a bit about themselves, too.
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store. And additionally, we will have a game with some prizes on the FTHS blog!
My project uses Happy Harry, one of the new snowman images. These are some of my favorite images and I love CAS cards with lots of white space and a little sewing, too.
I've used the current sketch #120 for my layout. You can play along until Sunday.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday October 5th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday October 7th.
A few things about me:
How long have you been on the From the Heart Stamps design team? Since June 2010, over 5 years, crazy how time flies!
What is your favorite coloring technique? Copics are my favorite way to color.
What is your favorite category of images in the FTHS store? Boy, that’s tough! I have a few favorites, Birdbrains, Faithful Friends and Snowfolk. Almost forgot Pigwits, love them, too!
Who is the last person you sent a card to? I send cards out through Chemo Angels, so my buddy was the last one I mailed a card to.
Describe your crafting space. I’m lucky to have a room to myself for crafting. It’s small, but I love it.
What is your best tip for taking good photos of your cards? A light box is helpful and a tripod is good, too. I always seem to jerk a bit when taking a photo, so if I have the tripod and set the timer, no shaky blurring.
What is your best coloring tip? Keep practicing! I watch videos and take classes and always learn something new.
What is a good tip for printing digital images? Print extras, just in case! I hate when I mess something up and have to go reprint it. If I print a few, I’m ready for whatever happens.
What’s your favorite craft space organizational tip? Well, if you saw my room and desk right now, you wouldn’t ask me for organizational tips, lol! But one really cool thing I use is a curtain rod to hold my dies. I loop sets through a big ring and hang them by shape. Not my own idea, I saw it somewhere years ago, maybe a local craft store, I can’t remember. It works well and everything is out and in reach.
