Whimsy and Stars Freebie!

Yep, you read that right, freebie! Mabelle is giving away this cute little Balloon Bunny image for a limited time only. Head over to the Whimsy and Stars blog to download it! It will be available for free until Sunday evening at 7pm EST. Such a cute and fun image to color. I had to give it a go right away! I love that it can be used for a boy or a girl.

Here is my take on it using the Card Sketches sketch #168 , simply flipped it onto it's end to fit my image. My image has some glitz on the bow and crystal effects on the balloon, it's super shiny!

Thanks for dropping by today. Make sure you go and get your freebie before Sunday!

Wool You Be Mine?

I just love a good pun, I'm so corny sometimes! As soon as I saw this Love Ewe image from Designed2Delight, I knew that I wanted to pair this sentiment with it.  I think I'll send this out to one of the special requests patients from Chemo Angels, I think it is a perfect card to bring a bit of cheer to someone.

If you aren't familiar with Chemo Angels check it out.  It's a great program for those who like to make cards, or if you're not a crafter, store bought cards work, too. You commit to sending a card each week to a patient undergoing chemo therapy.  Pretty easy commitment to handle, and I really think it brings a lot of happiness to the people on the receiving end.  So there is a little plug for the Chemo Angel program.  Last time I posted about it, my blogger friend Karli joined, so I thought I'd mention it again!

I used the sketch from Card Patterns #99, for the layout of this card.

We are having very cold temps here this weekend.  But no more snow predicted till Tuesday.  So it looks like back to school tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
