Celebrating Chanukah

This image, Daisy's Dreidel, was released on the first of the month from Sassy Studio Designs.  I was so excited to see it.  You don't see that many cute images out there for Chanukah!  I think I only have one or two stamps.  One of my best girlfriends is Jewish, so this is on the way to her!

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (MTSC103) for the card layout.

I also made a little tag.  It was for the 10 days of Christmas showcase at Sassy Studio Designs.  I used the same image and included 10 pieces of bling (the rhinestones).  Not very hard to work in 10 rhinestones when you love sparkle like I do!  I'll use the tag on a gift for my friend.  Think she'll like that the card and gift tag match.

Sassy Studio Designs is having a design team call right now.  So check it out on the blog if you are interested.  I have to say they are all a really lovely and talented group of ladies to work with!

Thanks for dropping by today.  Liam had a holiday concert today.  Sadly I missed it (Chuck went), we don't use sitters and the school really frowns upon having little one in the audience who might disturb the show.  Oh well, I have my photos and have heard him practicing all the songs at home.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Card Recipe:
Ink:  Printer
Paper:  PTI ssw, Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow, SU Going Grey
Embellishments:  copics, nesties, cuttlebug embossing folder, K and Co and MS rhinestones, SU ribbon, SU corner rounder punch, EK success label punch, PTI border die

Kaela meets Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

As soon as I saw this cute Kaela as a Fairy digi image from Designed2Delight, I knew I wanted to sit her on some clouds.  Faith released her after getting lots of emails asking for more Kaela after the release of Kaela as an Angel. I think she is so sweet, hope there are lots more Kaelas in the future.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (MTSC102) for the layout of this card.  I really liked the look of the two square panels.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your week is going well.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Kaela as a Fairy from Designed2Delight, sentiment from PTI
Ink:  Printer, Palette Noir
Paper:  PTI ssw, Dark Choc. Aqua Mist, MME patterns

Tasty Flakes

I've really been having fun coloring these Phindy's Place images.  I bought a bunch of them, and promised not to buy more until I used them all (so a little incentive there for me, lol).  This one is called Tasty Flakes.  She has the sweetest little face!

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #100 (MTSC100) for the layout. Congrats to Mercy for 100 fantastic sketches, keep them coming!  They are always the nicest sketches to play with each week. Thanks Mercy!

Her boots are glossed up and fur trimmed with liquid applique.  Some stickles for snow make it nice and sparkly.

I'm also playing along with the Phindy''s Friday challenge which is Christmas is Coming this week.  I'm getting this one finished up right in time.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.

We've been having a nice week here, and today was very special.  My little Lilah started walking.  So exciting for everyone.  I guess there will be no stopping her now!

Orange Roses

Here is my take on Mercy's Tuesday sketch from this week (MTSC97).  I love the roses from Designed2Delight's Beautiful Life set.  They are jus so pretty and so much fun to color.

My mom loved roses and had many bushes.  She had a real knack with them.  The sentiment seemed appropriate since I've been thinking about her a lot the last few days.  On my kids' birthdays I really miss her and wish they had gotten the opportunity to meet her.  I tell them about her, but it isn't the same. Yesterday was Lilah's first birthday and I was thinking how my mom would have loved to be a part of her life.  Didn't know I was going to get all personal and sentimental with this post, but sometimes that's how things work out.  I do have two big pots of meatballs (my mom's recipe) simmering away on the stove today, although I never can seem to get them to taste exactly like hers, hubby says I'm pretty close.

And here is a little picture of Lilah having her first ever cupcake!  Oh my gosh, she LOVED it.  There wasn't a crumb left.  I think she couldn't believe how sweet it was, she hasn't had any sugar at all before this.  I make her baby foods with whole foods.  She was thrilled, and super wound up from sugar afterwards.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope your week is going well!

Buddies

Happy weekend everyone.  My hubby is traveling so it isn't too exciting here.  We are laying low and relaxing and waiting for Daddy to get home tomorrow!

I got Mercy's Tuesday sketch (MTSC96) done just in time.  I loved the cute sketch this week and was really wanting to ink up this set I've had for a bit now.  I decided to go with a boyish card.  It will go to the HYCCT23 challenge on SCS, Sew Thankful for Friendship, which is to include some sewing on your card.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Support a Cure

Happy Thursday!  That means it is Dare to Be Sassy Thursday on the Sassy Studio blog.  The theme this Thursday is Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I love this image Support a Cure.  She is just so pretty and proud holding her pink ribbon.  Play along with us for the chance to win some new SSD images.

I used Mercy's sketch challenge this week (MTSC94), as usual Mercy had a very cool sketch to work with.  I also made this with the challenges on SCS this month (HYCCT) in mind.  This one is for using brown with pink.  I love that color combo anyway, so this was an easy one!

Thanks for dropping by today!

If you want more info check out the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long blog.

This Tilda with at candy cane is one of my newer Magnolias.  Don't know if the photo shows it well, but her candy cane is coated with crystal effects, so it looks real  I used the Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge (MTSC92) for the layout. Another great sketch from Mercy.

You can find a huge selection of Magnolia stamps at Magnolia-licious. Now hop on over to Lindsy's blog and see what she has created this month. Thanks for dropping by, see you on the next hop October 25th.

Scaredy Cat

TGIF! So glad the weekend is almost here. My husband just got home from traveling, so he is home early today! That means a little break for me!

This Little Scaredy Cat is the weekly freebie from the progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration. If you played along last week he was in you email box this am. If you didn't play along last week, you can buy him in the Designed2Delight digi store and join the challenge this week. He just made me smile. He is such a cute little kitty, I stayed up late last night and printed him right out.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge for this card (MTSC91). Another great sketch from Mercy this week.

I'm trying to get together some Halloween cards to send to the soldier we've adopted in Afghanistan. I thought he and his group would like some cards to mail home. I need to get a move on it as mail is slow going over there. So, you'll probably see some more Halloween cards this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Back to School with Edwin

Just got this cute little Edwin stamp, he is one of the older ones. I thought it would be timely to make a back to school card. He is sitting on a stack of books, that are from another Magnolia stamp.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch #90 (MTSC90) for this card. Another fun sketch this week, I love the little row of stitching, fun touch. I made mine a square instead of a rectangle, so I'd have enough room for Edwin.

Don't know if any of you are Captain Underpants fans? We are, we read some chapters almost every night and are waiting for the "9th epic novel" to be released. My oldest son thought this image was Melvin Sneedley from the stories, I thought that was pretty funny.

Thanks for stopping by today. TGIF! Hope you have a great weekend.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia Edwin and books, PTI sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Old Olive, Night of Navy, PTI ssw, school patterned paper

Fall is Coming

This is the image from Designed2Delight this week, Happy Harvest, for the progressive challenge on the Delightful Inspiration blog. If you play along and post a card by Thursday, you get the next image emailed to you. If you want to jump in any time during the month, you can purchase the image at the Designed2Delight digi store.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #87 for this one. My bow is on the opposite side of the one in the sketch, but I think it is pretty close to the original, LOL. Another wonderful sketch this week.

I'm definitely ready for some fall weather, so this image was fun to color. I even pulled out some of my old Apple Cider SU dsp, that I've been hoarding. I bought two packs of it and don't know why I'm saving it, LOL!

Have a Mice Day!

Hi, thanks for stopping by today. I have two cards that I made with the Mice Day image from Designed2Delight. This was the freebie for the week for participating in the Delightful Inspiration challenge. You have til tomorrow night to complete a card with this week's image. If you missed out on starting at the beginning of the month, you can purchase this image and play along and get next week's image just for creating with this one. Fun, right?

I thought Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge for this week was perfect for this image (MTSC84). I also played along with the Double Delight Challenge (DD4) which was for buttons and blue this week. Check out all of the entries on the Delightful Inspiration Progressive weekly challenge blog.

This second card is a bit of a joke. One of my good friends has had a mouse in her apartment recently, so I made this to mail to her. I hope she gets a kick out of it! I used the Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge from last week for the layout (SC290). I cropped the flower out of the image to focus on those little mice! I'm also entering it into the Sentimental Sunday's (challenge 13) It's all fun and games (my sentiment here fits the bill perfectly I think).

Card Recipe:
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI ssw, gp110, SU Rose Red, PTI Ripe Avocado, October Afternoon patterned paper from the Thrift Shop collection
Embellishments: copics, nesties, dimensionals, PTI ribbon, SU mini brads

Stella Takes a Bubble Bath

It's been a week since I've posted, just couldn't seem to get anything done last week. Every time I got into my office I started cleaning and organizing. Finally when I saw this challenge today, Tuesday Morning Sketches #46, to use your favorite color combination and glitter, I got inspired.

My favorite colors are pink, orange and red. I like them together and separately. I actually love most colors and combinations, but this is one of my favorites, so happy and bright. And who could stand up to those colors? Stella! She looks like she is having a fab time in her tub full of sparkly bubbles. She is very glitzy, her bubbles are covered in stickles, and her lipstick and nail polish are sparkled up with a spica glitter pen.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (MTSC74) for this layout. I think the panel behind Stella should have been a bit wider, according to the sketch, but it's glued down now, so it's going to have to stay.

Hope to get a bit more crafting time this week! Thanks for dropping by today.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Stamping Bella Stella, sentiment from PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Real Red, Only Orange, Pink Passion
Embellishments: SU border punch label punch, American Craft brads, copics, stickles, nesties, spica pen, cuttlebug embossing folder

Somebunny Loves You

Happy Friday everyone. I'm on a bit of a roll this week, actually getting a few cards made, I've been making the most of naptime. Hoping to have some time to craft over the weekend, too.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #69 for this layout. It is another card that I'm sending in for the 1st TGF Cares card drive.

Colors are a bit odd on this one. I went with some of my neglected PTI patterned paper and drew colors from that.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: TGF Hope and Grace Snuggle, Stamping Bella sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI ssw, Spring Moss, Summer Sun, Plum Pudding, PTI patterned paper

Laundry Time

This card is very appropriate for today, because I should have been doing laundry, while the babies napped, but used my time to stamp instead! Let's hope everyone has clean undies for tomorrow, just kidding!

This is my take on Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #66. I love the crooked panel, so much fun to work with. Buttons and sewing seemed like the perfect embellies for a laundry card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know what I'll be doing, laundry, LOL!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: TGF Hope and Grace Laundry, PTI sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, PTI ssw, patterned unknown

Hitting the slopes

Here is another card of a hobby that I don't do. I can't seem to resist these sports and yoga images although I don't do these things in real life. I love all the Riley stamps though and this one is no exception. He's so darn cute.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch (MTSC62) last week for this fun layout. And it was for last weeks Christmas card challenge week 12 from Sparkle to use a winter sport theme in honor of the Olympics. Now I didn't get it made in time for either challenge, but still wanted to post it!

Thanks for dropping by today!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Riley, sentiment from LAD
Ink: Memento
Paper: PTI vintage cream, Riding Hood Red, Handsome Hunter, patterned paper from my scraps
Embellishments: copics, nesties, mini brads, EK success border punch, SU ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder, stickles, smooch spray

Another Magnolia Christmas card

I still had some of the Making Memories Mistletoe paper on my desk from two days ago and thought I might as well use some more, before I put it away. It's almost time for Mercy's next Tuesday sketch, but this one is from last Tuesday (MTSC61). This sketch worked perfectly with a Magnolia image, too. Boy two Christmas cards in one week after slacking for a while, not too bad.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope it is the start of a great week for you!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia, PTI sentiment
Ink: Memento, Old Olive

Stella has a Valentine

Just got this stamp in the mail from The Greeting Farm. Her name is Stella, I won her in one of their New Year's card challenges. I think she is just adorable, and I love the name Stella. It was actually one of the names on our list while I was pregnant with Lilah.

I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch (MTSC57) for the layout of this card. It was a fun and easy sketch to put together.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you had a good one.

Card Recipe:
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Pretty in Pink, PTI ssw, DCWV Valentine stack

A quote from Winnie the Pooh

Hi everybody, I just realized that today is not Friday, bummer! I really thought it was Friday and was ready for the weekend. That's what happens when you are at home and not working. Oh well, one more weekday to go.

Here is another card I made for one of the Verve release week challenges (VSJAN10A). This challenge was to use chipboard. I have a ton of it, but rarely use it. I dug out some photo corners and glittered them up with MS glitter. I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch for this one (MTSC56).

I love these colors, the paper came from a new DCWV Valentine stack, the small print is all tiny x's and o's, really sweet. I think this will go to one of my boys for Valentine's day. They'll probably be more interested in the candy that will go along with it, LOL!

I've got to get working on a tooth fairy tin, for my oldest, he has a really loose tooth. I should have made it a while ago, when I got the stamps for it, but just didn't get to it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Verve Hundred Hearts
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Ocean Tides
Paper: Basic Black, PTI ssw, DCWV patterned paper
Embellishments: PTI ribbon, MS glitter, nesties, dimensionals

Pensive Edwin

How come the weekends always go so fast? I can't believe it's Monday already. Love having everyone home on the weekend. We spent loads of time having UNO championships this weekend. I forgot how much fun UNO was!

This card is for MTSC55, last Tuesday's sketch. I just got this little Edwin in my Magnolia winter kit. He's so cute, just looks like he has lots on his mind.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all have a great week.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Edwin from Magnolia, and sentiment from PTI
Ink: Memento
Paper: PTI ssw, Choc. Chip, Mellow Moss, SU patterned paper
