Bugaboo Tutorial Day

It's my day to do a little tutorial over at Bugaboo for my guest design team term. I've decided to do a little quick tutorial on using up some scraps. If you are anything like me (hoarder, lol) you probably have saved so many pieces of DSP that are just too pretty to throw out.

I started by cutting lots of my scraps into 3/4 inch strips. I put them aside and let the pile grow.

After I had a good stack of them I  glued them onto some white card stock. I picked patterns and colors that I liked together and just laid them out until I  liked the look, then I glued them down.

After I had the backgrounds made, I thought they looked a bit like quilt blocks, so I went with the theme and shopped the Bugaboo store for some sewing images.

For each card I colored my Bugaboo digi to go with the background then stitched around the patterned background and added some twine tied buttons, to give it a homey feel and continue with the sewing theme.

Recipe:
Ink: printer
Paper: copic xpress, PTI Kraft, PTI New Leaf, PTI Dk. Choc, PTI Plum Pudding, PTI Orange Zest, SU Purely Pomegranate, unknown scraps
Extras: copics, sewing machine, PTI buttons and twine
