Whimsy and Stars

I've got a sweet little card here today. I just love all of the holiday images that Mabelle has released this year for winter and Christmas. This little Snowball Boy, is so cute and fun to color and sparkle up!

I've used the fun sketch from Midnight Madness sketch challenges (MMSC132) for the design.

And a bit of fun news, Mabelle has a special Whimsy and Stars release today, this little cutie is the last Whimsy and Stars release for the year. She's called Twinkling Angel and is available in the etsy shop. Can't wait to color her up for a card.

Bookendz card

Got a real quick post today. We've got our monthly book club cyber meeting tonight for Bookendz. This group was formed by Suzanne Dean for crafters who also like to read. You can find it on the Color Me Creative Classroom website.

This is our fourth book I believe. They have all been great. This month it was Emily and Einstein by Linda Francis Lee. If you like to read, come join the fun.

This is my card for the theme. I've used a cute dog image from K 'n K designs. After coloring it with copics, I went over him with a washcloth dipped in blender solution to give him some texture. The dog in the book was white, but had wiry fur!

My sketch is from the Outlawz Wednesday sketch challenge for this week.

Ink: Printer, Palette Noir
Paper: PTI ssw, Orange Zest, Dk Choc. patterned unknown

Designed2Delight designer's challenge

The Designed2Delight designer's Saturday challenge is snowmen this week. My card features this Whipper Snapper Snow Diva stamp. While she isn't one of the D2D digis, she was drawn/designed by Faith Skrdla. Faith has lots of images in stamp form through Whipper Snapper and they are super cute, just like her digis.

I'm also entering the Corrosive challenge #138 this week, to case one of their DT's Cards. I've picked a card by one of my dear blogging friends Linda Palmer. Here is her card, I've used the same layout, a snowman theme and a circular sentiment and one of the Magnolia flourishes she uses so well. Fun challenge!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Whipper Snapper Snow Diva, SU sentiment
Ink: Memento black and red
Paper: PTI and SU cardstock, Cosmo Cricket patterned
Extras: copics, stickles, Magnolia flourish die, rhinestones, sewing machine, nesties, PTI button and twine

Tuesday Morning Sketches #122

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketches challengeMelissa has drawn up another fabulous sketch for us this week. This layout is fairly clean and simple, but the placement of the ribbon makes it so elegant. Love it and will definitely use it again.

I've used a new image from Phindy's Place for this challenge, called Winter Bird. It was  hard to get a good photo of the sparkle, but it real life it is so shimmery, looks like real snow.

I went with First Snow for my image this week. Such a fun image to color in! Plenty of opportunity to add some sparkle to this one too!

Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!
