Whimsy and Stars Release Day

Today is the day! Mabelle is releasing her collection of Fall digis! Such a great variety of fun images. You can find all of them today in the etsy Whimsy and Stars shop. Check out the Whimsy and Stars blog for lots of samples made with these adorable new images.

I used Alex with a pumpkin for my card. Alex is one of my favorite characters in Mabelle's shop, maybe because he looks a little like my DS2, Liam.

I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches #17 for the layout of this one. Make sure you drop by the Whimsy and Stars blog for lots of great Autumn inspiration! Thanks so much for visiting me here today.

Sassy Studio Masquerade Ball

Hi and welcome to the Sassy Studio Masquerade Ball blog hop! If you just came from Rebecca's fabulous blog, you are in the right place. If you just popped in here by chance you will want to start on the SSD blog, so you won't miss out (there might be freebies involved).

Lindsay has masked up some very popular SSD images for us today. We are having a blog hop today as well as some chat times in the party room, fun on PCP and a challenge with a HUGE prize.

My card uses the Princess Masquerade image. Isn't she pretty? Would you like to have her? Keep reading, she will soon be yours! I used a great sketch from Willow Sketchie Challenge blog.

At each stop along the hop, there will be a free image for you to grab! How cool and generous of Lindsay! Just double click on the image to get better resolution and then save to your computer. Make sure and get it while you can, it will only be available for free until Sunday night. Free image now removed, available in the SSD store for sale.

Make sure you also leave a comment on each stop. Each of the DT will pick one random commenter to win an unreleased image from the upcoming Halloween release. Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Julie.

Hope to see you sometime later in the chat room or on PCP today. And since you are getting all these cool Sassy images free today, why not enter one of our challenges for a chance to be a guest design team member?

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! Welcome to another Phindy's Friday challenge. We are doing things a bit differently this week (and will be the first week of each month). Our challenge is anything goes, makes it super simple to play along. BUT, you must use a Phindy's Place image this week. Not hard to do, when there is a huge selection of images in the store to suit every taste!

I've used an image called I Wuv You. I think he is a so cute with his funky outfit and heart shaped cheese. I thought this would be fun to give to my hubby. The sentiment was a freebie from Create with TLC.

Stop on over to the challenge blog and check out the DT cards and help us welcome our three new DT members. Hope you will play along with us this week!

Whimsy and Stars

How can it be September first already? I don't know where the summer went.

But, I do have a special little card here today. This cute little guy is from Mabelle RO's Whimsy and Stars Fall collection, which will be released on September 6th. So it's just a little sneak today.

You can head over to the Whimsy and Stars blog and see some more sneaks, fun stuff coming soon! Fall is my favorite time of year and these images will make great Halloween, Thanksgiving or just general Autumn themed cards!

I have to laugh, I made this while waiting for Irene to hit. My dh thought I was nuts, but really how much of the weather channel can you watch. We were well prepared for the worst case scenario  but luckily were spared. We have friends just minutes from us who are still without power and dealing with flooding, so we got lucky this time around. My dh is still shaking his head and saying guess what Kathy did while waiting for the hurricane??!!

First BookEndz card

Back again with a quick post. I've joined the online reading group, BookEndz, over at Color Me Creative Classroom started up by Suzanne Dean. Our first discussion is tonight, the book was Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. It was an interesting read for sure. The challenge to go with was to make a card reflecting the book. I went with an Asian themed card.

My layout is from the sketch #117 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Looking forward to tonight for the discussion and to see what the next read will be!

D2D Stitched Pumpkin

I love this little mouse peeking out from behind the pumpkin, so cute. It is from Designed2Delight and is called Stitched Pumpkin. The set comes with one without the mouse and a cool border image as well.  I thought it would make a perfect "miss you" card to go in my OWH cards that I'll mail off.

I've used Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday sketch #144 for this layout. Another stellar sketch from Tracy, she really knows how to put together a sketch that flows well.
